- Great car on or off the road!
- Fuel cap light went off 2 months ofter bought and drivers side window rattles non stop while driving
This car is a great all around car on the road as well as off and is GREAT in the snow. Lots of room for hauling or me and my boyfriend in the back for a night in the mountains, wink wink lol. Rides great, shift is awsome, your not able to feel it at all while going slow or fast. A few months after I bought it though the fuel cap light came on and stayed on even after taking it off and putting it back on and after several refills so I took it back to the dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong with it and turned the light off and hasn't come on since. The only real downside to the car is, if you really want to get picky, is the drivers window constantly rattles while driving when it is all the way up. Other than that its a great buy. Im really thinking about buying another one after the lease is up on this one....read morehide

- Good handling, comfortable
- Gas mileage, wind noise, and price
My wife and I bought it 3 months ago and we thought it was a good vehicle, compare to our previous SUV (Mitsubishi Endeavor). The only major complaint we have is the wind noise and squeaking of the windows, especially the driver's side. We took it in last month to have the weather stripping replaced, but it did not solve the problem. We took it back 2 times after that, and they drove around for about 25 miles but could not detect the noise. Are we delusional here? I don't think so.. I'm having the same problem with my 06 Honda Accord. My wife asked the Honda technician if he thinks it may be a manufacturer defect, and he did not answer..Hmm, something smells a little fishy here..So, be careful. I think this will be our last Honda purchase. Next time, we are going check out Toyota....read morehide

- Comfortable leather seats, strong power, smooth ride
- Had to get used to new headlights, heavy rear liftgate, no automatic door locks or auto headlights
Bought this vehicle in March 2006, and my wife and I love it! She got very used to driving this bigger vehicle (did own a Jeep Laredo). Very comfortable on long trips, smooth, powerful, good sound system. Little bit of tire noise on the highway, but overall a good buy !

- comfort and style
- doesnt meet the specified gas milleage of 17-21, its only 15-19
I think it is safe because of its build, but regardless of how much i tried to save fuel, it never meets the specified gas mileage of 17-21

- ex in the snow, roomy, comfortable, seats 8 people. very safe
The only thing i can knock is that the transmission locked up on the car at 1604 miles.Very rare for a honda. must have been a complete fluke.
Honda replaced it for free and flew the tranny back to japan because of the issue. They also gave me a new pilot to use while the work was done.
i got a great deal- 42 mo. lease at $272/mo inc gap insurance!
love that the car has side curtain airbags for 2006. headlights are awesome. love the radio controls on the wheel. great looking car[sage brush pearl]
hands down the best car i ever owned!...read morehide

- Very quiet and comfortable ride for large SUV, smooth & powerful engine, decent fuel economy
- Not a one
Upscale looking inside and out. You get all of the size you need but get a great ride on top of it. Highway fuel economy has been averaging just under 20 MPG, which is great for a bigger SUV that gives you more power than most V8's in this class.
We got a very low payment ($15/mo less than my used '04 Grand Cherokee!) with the lease special and it almost feels like I shouldn't be driving this expensive of a vehicle for my payment.
Overall, we couldn't be happier with our Pilot EX and we'll be getting another Honda when our lease expires....read morehide

- Ride, Comfort, Head room, Smooth Transmission, Standard Features for EX
- Cross bars are not included with the roof rails
This SUV is an excellent choice for anyone who wants an SUV and understands that 99% of the driving done with most SUV's are on paved roads. I looked at the 4-Runner, Pathfinder, Highlander, and Explorer and all 4 were nice but the Pilot blew them away. The biggest complaint about those 4 models is the lack of headroom. I am six foot and like to sit in a somewhat upright position and the 4 other models were very lacking in the headroom department. Even with a sunroof the Pilot has an astonishing amount of room. The Pilot's standard features on the EX 4wd in comparison to the price makes it the smartest choice of the midsize SUV's. Anyone who is looking for one in the Chicago-Land area I highly recommend Honda of Lisle. I have bought 12 different cars from 12 different dealerships and this was hands down the best experience I ever received at a dealership. I have driven many SUV's and this is the smoothest and nimblest....read morehide

- decent fuel economy, handling, brakes, size, Honda quality
- low tow rating, rear window fixed, heated seats require XL package
We have a had 2 Suburbans, Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Ford Expedition. The Honda Pilot handles the best, gets the best mileage and has 90% of the interior of the Expedition and a third seat, yet much easier to park and drive. The Suburbans are bigger all around. The Honda has had no defects in the first 2k. The Jeep GC with a V8 had more torque and towing capability and was better in the snow with Quadratrack. the Jeep is much smaller and does not have a third seat. The Jeep also pinged on regular and mid range gas. We also had a few problems with the Jeep the dealer struggled to repair. The Ford Expedition and Suburbans were great tow vehicles for even very heavy trailers and up tom8 were confortable in them. They all ran on regular and the mileage was 14-15 HWY and less around town. Jeep was slightly better, but cost as much running Premuim. The Honda Pilot gets 20-21 on the HWY....read morehide
