2007 Honda Pilot

- Interior creature comforts are great, room for family and friends, decent power.
- Does have more noticeable road noise than I'd expect for a plus $30k vehicle
Overall, I am with a few others who don't quite get the large amount of completely negative reviews on the Pilot. Gas mileage isn't spectacular, but no worse that our minivan was and it is a larger size vehicle. Ours seems to be in ECONOMY mode quite a bit and yet there is plenty of available power when you need it. Compared to other SUVs out there I still say this is one of the best OVERALL values you will find. I am counting on Honda's quality reputation and so far I haven't had any of the mechanical issues some have complained about. It is comfortable to ride, versatile, and with the roof open actually fun to drive. I will say that all future new or gently used cars I get will have a navigation system in it. We use that all the time now..........very convenient. You really only notice the much maligned road noise when all is quiet in the cabin, etc. But most of the time it just isn't a big deal. Anyone looking for 100% perfection should be looking at a car in the $50k+ range. For what the Pilot claims to be/do, it does a fine job.
