2008 Honda Pilot
There are 5 user reviews for the EX 4WD 5-Spd AT trim shown below
- Great resale value, quality built, good power, 4WD, loks better than the '09 version.
- MPG about 20 (but better than most SUV's), not true 4WD ground clearance
Pilot 4WD EX drives great. Smooth engine/transmission. Absolutely no problems over 15K. Engine mgt system receommends oil changes about every 5.5-6K miles. Kids love the view from back.
Very comfortable seats. Better than our Odyssey.
Received great incentives from dealer and Honda. Purchased for only 26K. Also added a trailor hitch with no problems.
I would buy this again without hesitation....read morehide

- Good fuel economy for V6. 10 airbags. Nice Leather Seats
- OEM tyres not grippy enough. Looks dated.
Excellent ride overaall. Have this for 2 mths+ and based in Dubai. Good pickup when needed and very steady and comfortable when crusing on the highway. Rock solid Honda reliability and smoothness of the V6 Vtec engine and the 5 speeder autobox is extremely smooth. Excellent value for money with cruise control, 10 airbags, moonroof, full beige leather seats, 8 seater configuration. For this price I pay for the 08 Pilot here, I can only get the entry Toyota Prado Landcruiser, which I think is grossly overpriced. Pilot also drives alot like a car, which makes driving a joy....read morehide

- Roomy, Stable on road
- Poorly built fittings and trims
Very disappointed with this SUV. After a string of reliable Hondas for many years, I bought the pilot and had a string of problems. Firstly the hood shakes terribly in the wind. Took it about 4 to 5 times into dealership and is better but still in storng wind, it feels like the hood will fly open. Secondly, The sound system suddenly goes on and off all by itself. The dealer had to finally change the CD changer. Thirdly, the doors refuse to close in very cold weather. I had to hold the door to drive into the dealer. Fourthly, The trims in the roof rack just flew away in the wind. Fifthly, Some of the trims on the doors are peeling off. Way too much trouble and inconvinient to take it multiple times to the dealership. There is a lag when throttling suddenly and is a gas guzzler. The only positive thing I can think of is that it is roomy and very stable in poor, snowy, slippery conditions. Otherwise, a junk of an SUV....read morehide

- I feel safe in my SUV. Can take a good beating in a rear end collision.
- Only the gas. But it is a 4WD SUV.
I love my Honda Pilot. I have had no problems what so ever with it after two years. I was prompted to leave a review because I was involved in a rear-end collision recently. Some guy slammed right into the end of my Pilot doing approx 40-45 mph. I had my 2 year old daughter with me and she was secured in her car seat. The Pilot took the beating great! We were ok and the Pilot did have some damage but the end being that there was only rear end damage and absolutely nothing else. I feel so safe in my Pilot. I have a 9 yr old and a 2 yr old that I take everywhere with me. I think if I had another vehicle it would not have held up so well. The vehicle that hit me (Acura MDX) was totalled. I have never had any problems with the Honda's I have driven. I am a customer for life!...read morehide

- Poor MPG, Poor Uncomfortable Seating and, easily scratched Cheap Inerior
I have an 06, that is good machine but very uncomfortable. I hate to sit in it and drive more than 150 Miles. Seats are lousy, Inerior is cheap (you could easily scratch the cheaply painted center console).
