- User-friendly GPS, fun to drive, great exterior design.
- Rather useless voice recognition, tight 3rd row leg space, pointless rear climate control button.
I've had my Pilot a little over 15 months.
At only about 16K miles, on a beautiful sunny day, I was driving home from work and making a right turn after a traffic light, all of a sudden I heard a *SNAP* on the bottom of the vehicle. I didn't run over anything, and I felt that I didn't have control over the steering wheel, and when I stepped on the gas pedal to accelerate, it wouldn't go any faster. It was like the transmission blew or something.
I was very disappointed. I used to be proud of this SUV and Honda.
Luckily, I was still able to pull over to the right from the busy traffic.
I called for a tow truck, and had it towed into a nearby Honda dealer.
It was discovered that the intermediate shaft that they had to replace.
Fortunately, the repair was all covered under warranty. It better be!
But I had to rent a car at my own expense for 2 days....read morehide

- safety,gps,comfort,range on a full tank
- headlights to dim
reading the comments about road noise is true, and i agreed with those views. i own a 2004 exlw w/nav and 41,000 on the clock. i picked-up a 4 inch screw in the front passenger tire, could had a plug put in but deceided on a new set. i went to the tire store and selected the same size tire that on the vehicle, but upgraded to the goodyear fortenzas. to my suprise the i was informed by salesman that the original tires goodyear(235 70/16) that i was replacing, were more suited for the lincoln towncar and simular vehicles. the set of goodyear fortenzas i purchased (235/70r16) same size were made specifically for an suv. good news road noise is no more, bad news $145.00 per tire, well worth it. drove from jersey shore to boston in a steady rain, hydroplaning a thing of the past....read morehide

- Roomy enough for my BF and I to sleep in the back on camp trips, no mechanical problems after 2+ yrs
- Wish for better gas mileage but it's comparable to similar models
I have 2006 EXL 4WD with Navi; bought car for major camping trip to 14 national parks, where we sometimes slept in car overnight...very comfortably. After two and a half years ownership, over 41,000 miles, zero mechanical problems. Zero. Just do oil changes and check air in tires and scheduled maintenance checks. The navigation is the best; voice commands mean you don't even have to take eyes off of road to program. XM radio really a plus for my commutes. While 4WD isn't meant for boulder climbing it's done really well on dirt and desert roads. Was extremely comfortable ride for long trips and all your stuff easily fits. This is the 4th Honda I've owned; all have been mechanically extremely trustworthy and highest safety ratings which are important to me....read morehide

- The first day I brought this car from South Honda, the GPS was not working. use lot of gas.
I am very disappointing. The first day I brought this car home from South Honda, the GPS system was not working. Navigation system show my car is in the middle of Atlantic Ocean. I brought it back to South Shore. They said it is supposed to be like that. They shook off everything and just sent me to the Service with bad attitude.
Very disappointing. The car is disappointing. South Shore Honda service is disappointing. They didn't do anything on this. They even didn't say a word "regret"....read morehide
