- Transmission fails too soon
Purchased As New
I loved this car so much until transmission failed at 60,000 miles right after mfg warranty expired. Can't believed that but true. Now I have to pay $4,000.00 to replace it and Honda Hdqrs do not help at all. They do not care anything about it. If you want to enjoy a car like that, good luck.

- Comfortable ride/ roomy
- Worst fuel economy, back up camera seem to be useless because you see things so far .
Purchased As New
I got this EX-L 4WD Pilot last November. The best fuel consumption I got is 15.9 mpg on a highway running between 65mph to 75 mph.with only two passengers. I was hoping better fuel economy than my Benz ML 320. where I was getting 20-21 mpg running between 85mph to 90 mph.with 4 passengers. At first I thought its winter and breaking up the engine. I don't know where they got the 16/22 mpg (city/Hiwy)...read morehide

- Comfortable and spacious. Great 3rd row
- still new...will see
We needed a 7 (adult) passenger car with still some cargo room. Looked at Acadia, Enclave, Mazda CX9 and Ford Flex.
Got the Honda because of value, workmanship, and little touches that make it standout. Fuel mileage was a concern..liked the fact the it can cut up to 3 cylinders so that by driving sensibly you can get good mpg. I see the ECO light (which comes on when cylinders are cut) about half the time.
Disappointed with the finishing touches on the Buick and GMC. Read a lot about the GM cars not getting expected mpg. Mazda was nice, but seats not as comfortable and less cargo room.
All these are in the same price range...my last Honda I had 350,000 miles on it....read morehide

- Execellent Back up Camera!,sound its great,Variable Cylinder Management
- The breakableness head light ,Improve mpg, warranty
This SUV is terrific!
It rides so quietly and feels so sturdy.
2 adults & 1child + front a/c & rear a/c on; 19 ~20 Gas mileage mixed city30%/ highway70%. so ... It gets better little by little.
ah...You know .. "Variable Cylinder Management" which the display can tell you if it is running in 3 or 4 cylinders instead of showing just ECO. Because of this I have fun driving now............. I'm happy....read morehide

- Soomth ride, 22 mpg fully loaded (rack, bikes, kids), good power, comfortable
- had to pay extra for the rack cross bars.
Great MPG on the highway almost 23MPG with a cargo box on top, 3 bikes on the back, fully loaded with camping stuff, kids, dog, etc. Lots of space as well. It seats 8 very comfortably. Love it so far and would recommend it. The only negative is that you cannot configure the trim, etc. very much. We didn't want leather but the cloth seemed really cheap and prone to stains so we upgraded to the EX-L 4WD. More expensive but worth it, I hope, in the long run. Paid $300 over invoice....read morehide
