we just finished a 2400 mile trip from California Bayarea to Whistler Canada and back. there was no single complaint about our Pilot. We really enjoyed the trip with this SUV. It is powerful and confortable car. I have a 2003 Pilot too. 2009 model is much better than 2003 one - Bigger, Better, and Quieter!!! The ride was so smooth. In addition, I got 22 MPG on 2009 model in this trip and got near 20 MPG as the best record on 2003 model. Thanks to Honda's advanced Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) system. My teenager kids still don't like the boxy appearance. But I can tell they show respect to our new Pilot because of the performance and confortable ride they enjoy in the trip.
One thing: the Navigation system does not cover all areas in Canada. In this trip, it helped us to go up to Squamish, BC. Most suggested detours from the navi sys worked except newly constructed/closed roads - of course.
