- Very comfortable, great features for the price and solidly engineered
- Noisy A/C compressor, mildly under powered

I now have 7000 miles on my Pilot — a near even mix of in-city and hwy miles. My thoughts are this; the Pilot is a solid, well-engineered vehicle that offers a lot of features for the price when compared with its competitors. It's gas mileage is as advertised (I'm getting 21 city and 25 hwy). Its interior is comfortable (even on very long road trips), quiet and roomy. A few unexpected and pleasant surprises are how well the exterior has held up on long hauls. I expected a few paint chips from rocks and gravel tossed up by other vehicles on the road and not so much as a scratch. Its off-road capabilities are actually competent and downshifting on mountain roads does a great job in providing steady engine breaking. Also, the bluetooth system is extremely well integrated. My criticisms are that I've found it to be a little underpowered (especially in accelerating quickly from a stop), the a/c compressor is noisy (you can especially notice it running at idle), and the sun visors are basically useless when you need to apply them to the side windows—though in fairness, someone not as tall as me who has a more forward seating position might not have the same trouble (I'm 6'6"). Other than those, I don't have much else in the way of complaints. The Pilot does exactly what it's advertised to do and does it well. And for the money, Honda's history of long-term reliability, and passenger volume, I'm very happy with the vehicle I chose. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family....read morehide

- good mileage in highway driving
- The suspension is somewhat hard not that good.

I choose this car over other SUV because its reliable and roomy. The interior design is so minimal and basic not like other competitors. It did not give me the WOW factor when it comes to style and accessories. Comfort is good, ride sometimes is hard, when you are full you feel the ride improves. Overall this is a good quality SUV but lacks WoW factor in design....read morehide

- Room, Comfort, Leather Seats, Flat Rear Storage
- Transmission "slop"
Purchased As New
Got this for specifically for camping because all three rows of seats fold down to a nice flat, continuous surface, so good to sleep back there and easy to slide cargo in and out. Other SUV in this price range had lumps and bumps and gaps and holes on the storage surface when the seats fold down. Leather seats are very nice and comfortable, even way back in the third row. Lot of power outlettes and cubby storage. The second row has it's own A/C vents and controls, and the third row has A/C vents. Driving position is good, but there at a lot of small buttons, gauges, knobs, and a confusing layout, and the owner's manual is way to wordy and complicated, but I overlook this because of this cars other features. Has a good "quality" feel to it EXCEPT when shifting from "park" to "dive" or "reverse", there is a little too much sloppiness and chunkiness going on in the drive train. Shifts while driving are very smooth though. So far, very satisfied....read morehide
