Huge midsize SUV. A lot more space then its competition. Resale is excellent and reliability also

Gas Millage not the best in its class but to be expected as this is a much bigger SUV

Second Pilot owned. 2005 (bought new) and now we have a 2009. 0 issues with both. Traded our 2005 in and got 13,500 for trade with 90,000 miles last Year. Our 2009 was a certified used Pilot with 30K on it. If you have a family and want 4WD the Pilot is the SUV to have. You would need to get a Suburban to have more room and I did not want to go down that road. We have 3 little girls and you can fit all the car seats in the second row. I swore that I would never buy a non-american made car. But after I purchased a 98 accord and have had nothing more than normal replacement parts such as brakes and a starter I decided to buy a used 2008 Pilot. 6 months later I traded it in for a Brand New 2012 Pilot because I was extremly happy with the 2008. I am now a loyal buyer of Honda Automobiles. Great Product and all the features I was looking for. The comfort of the ride is second to none. Great Vehicle would recommend to anyone. A/C humming noise at idle and low speeds - very annoying. Leather seats get sweaty in hot weather!

Great mid-size SUV. Plenty of pros to list. However, these things must be brought up to the attention of potential buyers:
1. A/C has annoying humming/moaning noise. Noticeable at idle or very low speeds. Other users are complaining about this issue.

We have the Pilot since March of 2012, overall a very nice vehicle. The one exception was I found the drivers seat to be uncomfortable on long rides, no matter how I tried to adjust the seat it was not comfortable. We managed 24 mph going up to Rhode Island. This appears to be the new Soccor Mom vehicle of 2012. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done....read morehide

Love the car...have 2 of them a 2008 and a 2012, both fully loaded. Very spacious for the people that do not want a mini van this is the cool car to have. Built solid and reliable.

This review is actually for my 2003 Pilot EX-L . I waited 3 months to obtain delivery and well worth the wait.
It has been used mostly for trips from up north to the sunny south for the last 9 years and am still in love with it, now 54,000 miles, I get 27 MPG. Still looks like new and rides as such with original tires. No mechanical problems yet.
Every time I take it for servicing the dealer tries to seduce me into trading it in offering me 50% of what I paid for it but I tell him my model is better looking than the newer version so no deal. I do not have the problems I see here with the noisy A/C, mine is very quiet. and power is plentiful when I need it. Maybe the newer models have been modified too much....read morehide

We looked many vehicles, and concluded that the Pilot offers the most comprehensive package of features for the cost. The exterior is modern. The appearance may go against the current fad, but that makes it very timeless, as some other brands are such as Range Rover, and Jeep. Its interior is very spacious, and well laid out with lots of storage areas. It seats 8 people comfortably. Great safety rating. We love its convenience features such as bluetooth/usb connection, heated seats, backup camera, power lift gate, and climate control. All over very good Vehicle. I recommend everyone should buy it. I had a CRV 2006 Model Earlier But this is just Awesome. Its interior, seats, look are so good. I enjoy driving it on road as its silent & music speakers are awesome. Feels VIP really

Recently, the MPG improved and is at 24 miles a gallon, while I was driving on the freeway as it should.
I would like everyone to disregard my previous review regarding MPG being very poor. After one month of driving, I am getting decent mileage.

Engine is moaning very loud when AC is on and car is not moving.

This is first summer for this car and I notice when AC in on and car is not moving there is some kind of moaning very loud noise coming from the engine. I took my car to the dealer from where I purchased this vehicle. I was informed that Honda Motors is aware about this issue in 2012 Pilot.

I am very surprise and upset that despite Honda Motor is aware about this issue till the date Honda did not solve this problem. Please make a note that the noise is very loud when AC is on and car is not moving. This noise is very annoying. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR UNTIL THEY FIX THIS PROBLEM....read morehide
