- Overall Fantastic Truck
- fuel mileage
Purchased As Used
I have owned this vehicle for 5 years and it has over 211 000 kms on it and I have just recently changed the spark plugs and front brakes on it from the ORIGINAL ones. I have NEVER had a vehicle with so little regular maintenance needed on it ever! I would recommend this truck to anyone that is looking for a great truck that looks good and performs very well. I get about 500 kms to a tank with city and hwy use combined so it isn't terrible on fuel but could be better as I had higher hopes with it being a Honda. What I pay in a little extra fuel costs, I saved on mechanical costs for sure. I love this truck and I will stick with Honda for my next choice as well but not needing a truck, so will get a Civic. Thanks Honda!!!!...read morehide

- Ride and handling.
- Could have more power. (V8 Option)
I have owned many trucks over the years and this one is the best. Not a single defect in 18 months an 35000 K.

- Plenty of "Hidden" Storage, Way more technology standard than American trucks come with loaded
- Stock wheels are plain looking.....
This "TRUCK" is great!!!! It handles all my construction needs with ease... Came in about 10 grand less than that pile of garbage they call an avalanche. Plus, I am not buried 6ft under in another overpriced truck the minute I pull it off the lot. The electronics and drive systems are unmatched for the price range. Laugh at the poor "upside down" drivers that picked chevy, ford, or dodge.... Be good to yourself and drive the truck that has it all from the start....read morehide

- The Ridgeline ride is as good as any luxury sedan on the market.
- After owning my Rideline for 2 months, the only Con is: why didn't I buy sooner. iy/
I look forward to driving this vehicle for the next ten years. There is not one other vehicle I would consider buying other than another Ridgeline. If my wife keeps driving mine I may have to get Ridgeline number two just for her.

- GREAT RIDE & COMFORT. ROOMY & QUIET INSIDE. DECENT GAS MILEAGE.
- NONE YET!
I HAD A TACOMA BEFORE & I'M LIKING THIS TRUCK ALOT MORE. RIDES BETTER THAN MY WIFE'S HIGHLANDER. PLENTY OF INTERIOR SPACE. THE TRUNK IS A AN AWESOME ADDITION. NO NEED TO THROW VALUEABLES IN THE CAB WHEN YOU CAN LOCK THEM IN THE TRUNK. GAS MILEAGE IS ACCEPTABLE SO FAR. NOT A TRUE 4X4, BUT FOR SNOW & ICE & LIGHT OFF ROADING IS MORE THAN SUFFICIENT. A NICE MIX OF SUV/TRUCK LIKE QUALITIES, IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT. IT HAS BEEN A NICE SUPRISE FOR HONDA'S FIRST ATTEMPT IN THE TRUCK MARKET....read morehide

- Comfort of a car with a small truck bed. Perfect for people who don't need a truck every day.
I absolutely love my 2006 Ridgeline. I wanted a small truck for convenience but don't need it every day, this is the perfect solution for people like me. The ride is great and there is plenty of room for passengers. I love the sound system and other features of the truck. The in bed storage area is great for golfers but you do have to set it up so that you can lay your bag flat. I've heard that is is really a sport utility truck and that is exactly what I needed. If you are looking for a truck for hauling every day I would not recommend it but for occasional use it is perfect. The towing capacity is on 5,000 lbs so it does not compare to the Ford or Chevy trucks. This is not a truck for moving a household it is more for occasional use and should probably be viewed as more of an economical Lincoln Navigator truck instead of a heavy duty truck....read morehide

- Great looking, very quiet cabin, Honda technology
- difficult to park in small spaces
I have never had a truck before. I test drove the Avalanche and this one and loved this. For someone who does not tow, this is a great truck. The engine is very smooth, mileage is excellent for an all wheel drive truck. The colors offered are great, I have the blue metallic. The inside is very spacious, the rear seats can fold up to make more space and the rear with the hidden storage is a great idea. The inside is so quiet when the windows are up, its like driving an accord EX V6.
fantastic job by Honda, these will hold their value after years of use, unlike the domestic trucks.I do not understand why everyone is writing negative stuff about the ridgeline, only time will tell that it is as good, if not better than domestic trucks....read morehide

- Storage, Back Seat Room, In-Bed Trunk
Regardless of what many might say, this is a truck. It can do more than your average truck. I have put this truck through the paces in the past three months and I am amazed at what it can do. I have towed with it. I have loaded it up with drywall, 2x4s, tables, and coolers. I took a 6-hour road trip with three other adults, and we were all very comfortable. The ride is quite for a truck, I love the back powered window and center storage, with extra large cup holders. I am 5'10 and can cross my legs in the back seat. There is not another truck that has that much legroom in the back seat. I do not mind having a little less length in the truck bed for the rear legroom. With the tailgate down your a little under seven feet, and you do not have wheel hubs to deal with, the drywall slides right in. As far as storage, there is not another truck that comes close. The in-bed trunk is Gigantic, I currently have two sets of clubs, two lawn chairs, the spear tire, tow ropes, jumpers, two emergency blankets, my brief case and some files locked in the water proof in-bed truck right now and you don't even know its all there. Try that with the Chevy Avalanche, or Nissan, or what ever tries to compete with this. As for fuel economy, the sticker is very close, I have been tracking this and I average between 18.2 and 19.7 mpg. The least I have gotten was 16.2 and the most was 20.6 on the hwy with the AC on the whole time. Since it is summer in MI, I have not tested a full tank with the AC off. I have done some off roading with out any issues, nothing to crazy, I'm sure I will never get stuck with this truck, but it's not a Land Rover. (I did previously own a land rover I consider it an off road vehicle, but I had tons of electrical and hardware issues with it. I will never own a land rover again) The Hondas stereo system is a little weak, and is a long reach unless you have the controls on the wheel, XM radio ready is not what you think. It is big money to go from XM ready to having XM at the dealer. The bed scratches, but it is a truck bed that you throw things into. It will tow everything you want except very large boats or large commercial trailers. However, most boats, jet skis, and trailers no problem. I stress to you that I do NOT have any affiliation with Honda in any way. I do recommend the Ridgeline as an everyday do all truck. You will fully enjoy driving and owning this truck....read morehide

- Excellant ride, spacious both inside and the locking trunk was a brilliant idea.
- Could do a little better on fuel but is better than the Ford Ranger I traded in.
I was apprehensive about buying this vehicle as I'd read several reviews indicating it had a problem towing. What I've found it it tows just fine and if anything better than the Ranger that I had. It does shift down on gear on hills but will maintain your speed and if needed increase the speed. The 4 wheel lock took some getting use to but once I realized how it worked, it works as advertised. One thing that I can say is the bed although it looks small, holds more than a short bed Ranger.
I've had nearly every type of truck over the years, this is by far the better of them all. Is it perfect, No! But Honda did a great job!...read morehide
