- Great Ride, and looks
- Some things have cheapen on the new model, interior wise.
Purchased As New
I just purchased my 2nd Ridgeline, traded in my 06 RTL for a 09 RTL,
The interior has been cheapen using plastice instead of metal, the rubber floor mats were great during winters have gone to carpet mats, cheapen the taillights....I really think I liked the old model better...it just looked tougher...the quality is still there like all Honda's.....The price has jumped a couple grand, but the added features are nice, sunroof, trailer hitch, fog lights, daytime running lights..been driving Hondas for 25 yrs..You can't beat their engines....read morehide

- No trim specified for this review
- A lot of room for stuff.
- Fuel consumption is par. Needs a body/interior update since it's been the same since 2006.

I was looking at trucks for 3 weeks and couldn't decide between Nissan Frontier, Toyota Tacoma or the Honda Ridgeline. So I test drove all of them and seem to be pretty close in comparison of power and handling and looks. I chose the Ridgeline because of the amount of storage. The RL has a giant center console that expands when pulled open to reveal a giant hole with CD storage or whatever else you want to put. The best part of the Ridgeline is the water tight trunk, ice chest and dead body storage(haven't used it yet for dead bodies). I've used the trunk numerous times for parties and camping trips. The only problem with the trunk, it has a tendency to get hot during the summer and melt 100LBS of ice in a matter of 3-5 hours, but with a built in drain plug, you can drain the water fast and restock with ice. Anything that's glass or can in the trunk when ice is melted is like a fat kid in a wave pool sloshing around and hitting the walls when driving....read morehide

- Where to start, EVERYTHING! Styling, ride, navi, interior space, handling, trunk and transmission.
- Gas milage, it loves the taste of gas but I don't mind feeding it because its so enjoyable to drive.

Can't tell you how much I LOVE THIS TRUCK. The ride is beautiful. The handling is awesome and the steering is perfectly wieghted. The engine is so smooth, so is the ride and transmission. One of me favorite things about this truck is the transmission. Its one of the smartest transmission in the world, it holds the right gear going up hills without you giving it more gas it just seems to know your going up hill no gear hunting, and when going down hills it down shifts to hold your speed and down shifts to assist with braking when coming to a stop how smart is that? Honda really put some thought into the Ridgeline and it shows. Quality throughout, and the ride couldn't be improved it really is as good as it gets for a 4500.lbs vehicle, really. I would buy another one in a heart beat. People are always stopping me and asking questions about it, it really draws attention. The in bed trunk has gotten more use than I would have ever thought it's huge and it make so much sense. I just LOVE my Ridgeline!...read morehide

- Low sound noise, driving thru snow, Bluetooth, Navigation, comfortable ride, lockable in-bed trunk
- MPG (It is just average)
Purchased As New
I own the new 2009 model - RTL with nav. The ride is extremely comfortable (nearly as good as my 2006 Acura TL). It handles snow with no problems and hauls items with ease. A backup camera is included in the 09 RTL w/ nav. The sunroof is also included in this trim level. The in-bed lockable trunk is awesome - waterproof and large (only the Ridgeline has this feature). Bluetooth is now included in the 09 RTL w/ Nav and works great. I have received many compliments on the truck and believe it is very sharp looking (new front end design). It does get between 16 and 18 MPG (I haven't fully broken it in yet) - 20+ on the highway. I was able to get my 09 RTL w/ Nav for $30,574 - so an extremely good value given the MSRP of $37K. I have had no issues with the truck thus far - albeit a new vehicle. I'd always recommend the extended warranty (especially if you are like me and want to keep the car 10+ years or 150K+ miles).
Bottom line - if you are looking for an extremely comfortable ride (leather heated seats, four full size doors, all the amenities of my 06 Acura TL!) and don't need to haul the Titanic - the Ridgeline is probably for you. It can haul a good sized load and you'll be riding in safety backed by Honda....read morehide

- Seats, cabin space,
- interior noise, fuel economy, price, service, exterior style
I bought mine in october and sold it quickly in june, dealer was terrible, interior noise was terrible, i even had had sound deadening pads installed and it still has more interior noise city/hwy than my 4 runner or FJ cruiser. fuel economy was not good, 15 city, 20 hwy, it handeled well and the engine is good but well underpowered, the seats are awesome as is the headroom, but without a telescoping steering wheel position is uncomfortable. I had contacted the dealer about the tailgate not opening on memorial day and they contacted me the following november, after i had sold it. also prices for options listed on hondas website do not match the dealer. so ignore anything on the website and just live with what the dealer does. also the sunroof had a wind leak when the wind came at you from an angle to direction....read morehide

- nice and roomy, love driving my truck..i have a pilot as well and by far i love the ridgeline.
- i don't think there any but i have read that gas milage is an issue, but not for me.
i love the way it handles and the steering isn't overly sensitive like the pilot. i think all the time and effort honda put into designing the ridgeline was well worth it for them. i like the rebates that offered at that this time i received almost 8k off the sticker price, as if the truck wasn't enough to entice me to buy. the quality is unmatched in my opinion. all in all i love it....read morehide

- Good looking truck that gets noticed
- Gas mileage could be better.
I own the 06 model and have had absolutely no trouble with it. It does not ride or drive like your typical 4 wheel drive vehicle. Smooth and quiet. Well built. I pull a small camping trailer and it has plenty of power. It is sure footed in all weather and tracks very well. Brakes are very, very good. Navigation system and sound system are a real bonus. XM is great also. I am completely pleased with this vehicle. I also own a Mercedes and chose the Honda over another MB....read morehide

- Fuel consumption is not so great, but quite responsive on uphills
- Poor appearance, ford trucks are way better faced than this
Just bought it few months. The 3.5l V6 engine is not good for fuel consumption.I recomended to take ford or nissan trucks.Way better in appearance than the 2009 Honda Ridgeline
