- hot little car, great gas mileage, attention getter, beautiful Fugi Blue color, fun to drive
- lots of break dust when I wash it every week
Kids grew up and moved out so Mom got rid of the mini-van and into my own little sports car! Most exciting purchase of my life! Top down I feel free and sexy! Never driven a sports car in my life, before the mini-van it was a station wagon. Now it's my turn and I am loving this car. Ride may be a little rough but who cares, it's a convertible and I love it!!!!!!!! I even wash and wax it myself every week. Very proud owner of my 2007 S2000!!!!!!!...read morehide

- Excellent handling, good looks, convertible easy to put up/down.
- rough ride - but this is goes with why you should buy it. Rear tires wear quickly
2 year owner of 2005 Silverstone. Great car. Bought it to drive for a few years before starting family.
Pros: Cost/Value, excellent handling(Best Feature by far!), short throw stick shift - this is great - although mine had to be rebuilt under warranty. Convertible easy/quick to put up/down. Looks are excellent - still gets attention despite being almost unchanged for 7 years. It's a honda and even 2 years later I still have good resale value.
Cons: Rear tires need replaced every 15K-18K miles. Extra caution required in rainy weather - easy to spin rear end. 2006 models and up have traction control. Convertible top "bra?"/cover is worthless as it is too much trouble to install/remove -so I never used. Easy car to work on - I regularly changed my oil/filter - changed transmission fluid to YES GM Friction Modified, and rear diff fluid. Takes premium fuel. was a daily driver for me which does get old quickly. Very loud with top up.
I garaged over winter - some have success with snow tires but I would not advise - you really have to factor in the cost of a winter beater as a 2nd car.
I would recommend to someone looking for a 2nd car or to drive a sports car for a short time period. Would not recommend to someone as their only/primary car in a cold/northern climate or as daily driver. The new factor does wear off - It is a blast to drive and nother better on a curvy road for the price - but you pay for it in road noise, etc. . ....read morehide

Have owned for 2 weeks and am so impressed.....best sports car on the road. Gas mileage not bad,,,,,full tank ran for 350+ miles, trunk roomier than thought. Thrilling to drive,,,,FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

- VTEC Power, crisp short throw shifter, handling, brakes
- Not a highway car - 4000 RPM = 76MPH. Needs a 7th gear!
Phenomenal sports car. I read a review of a 1965 Cobra 289 by Car and Driver where they said the car was "champing at the bit in each gear, urging the driver to get going". That is the S2000 - it BEGS to be DRIVEN! Just work your way through the gears and up to the redline, the VTEC power pushing you back in the seat from 6000-8200.
Got all kinds of comments in NY - stares, what kind of car IS that? This in a city loaded with Bentleys, 430s, etc. Once some guys in a trash truck commented - "Please pass the Grey Poupon!" while we were waiting at alight together....read morehide

- Great Handling. Transmission is superb. A go-kart for the street.
- Horrible on Fuel. A bit rough. Redundant radio controls useless.
I have a 2006 Black S2000. It's one of the best handling cars I've ever been in. It rides a bit sough but that is to be expected from the race inspired chassis. Steering is very linear and communicates to the driver exactly what the wheels are doing. I'm compelled to write this review after seeing how some reviewers said the car was very fuel effiecient. The car uses fuel in ridiculous amounts. It is NOT fuel efficient at all. I'm filling this thing up once a week after putting maybe 200 - 220 miles on it a week. That is unacceptable. And my friend has an 05 and his does the same thing. So it's no fluke. The other thing is the redundant radio controls next to the steering wheel to control the radio. Absolutely unncessary.... Other than those two things, the car is superb. It literally handles like a go-kart. You have to drive this car right. Sneeze and you're off the road.... It does exactly what you tell it to do. Oh, and watch out for the blind spots when the top is up - wicked blind spots. Would I get another one again? Sure, just not as a daily driver. This car is a modern day classic. You'll be very happy with what it can do....read morehide

- Incredible handling, great power.
I am just blown away by the handling of this car, I was looking at corvettes and mustangs but the boss wanted something a little easier to drive, etc. Best horsepower to weight ratio on the market.

- Fast, sleek. Great transmission.
- Boot for convertible top is cumbersome.
I have seen several comments about the ride being rough. My 2007 is a much better ride than I would have expected. Smooth and fast.

- Handling, reliability, best 2 seater convertible under 35k!
- Low torque!
I have owned a 2001 Spa Yellow and currently a 2007 Laguna Blue! I have owned alot of cars like; FD RX-7, RX-8, WRX, STi, E36 M3, but, the S2000 is the only car that I purchased twice......
