- Excellent handling, good looks, convertible easy to put up/down.
- rough ride - but this is goes with why you should buy it. Rear tires wear quickly
2 year owner of 2005 Silverstone. Great car. Bought it to drive for a few years before starting family.
Pros: Cost/Value, excellent handling(Best Feature by far!), short throw stick shift - this is great - although mine had to be rebuilt under warranty. Convertible easy/quick to put up/down. Looks are excellent - still gets attention despite being almost unchanged for 7 years. It's a honda and even 2 years later I still have good resale value.
Cons: Rear tires need replaced every 15K-18K miles. Extra caution required in rainy weather - easy to spin rear end. 2006 models and up have traction control. Convertible top "bra?"/cover is worthless as it is too much trouble to install/remove -so I never used. Easy car to work on - I regularly changed my oil/filter - changed transmission fluid to YES GM Friction Modified, and rear diff fluid. Takes premium fuel. was a daily driver for me which does get old quickly. Very loud with top up.
I garaged over winter - some have success with snow tires but I would not advise - you really have to factor in the cost of a winter beater as a 2nd car.
I would recommend to someone looking for a 2nd car or to drive a sports car for a short time period. Would not recommend to someone as their only/primary car in a cold/northern climate or as daily driver. The new factor does wear off - It is a blast to drive and nother better on a curvy road for the price - but you pay for it in road noise, etc. . .
