This car is a great buy! I bought it in Oct of 2009 and I have not had a problem and its the best all-around car on the market! Its 1.8 Liter, 140 HP i-VTEC 4 Cylinder Engine is pretty peppy. I find no problem accelerating in the city, but on the highway you have to get used to revving the engine to 3-5 RPMS if you look on passing someone. The leather seats look good as much as the feel good. The fuel economy is great! I get a good, fuel efficient drive every time! I drive around 20 +/- miles to work and back, and I fill up at an average of 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. With gas prices around 2.79, I average around $25-30 per fill up. The trunk space is good and adequate for a sub-compact car. Back car seat space is roomier than a Ford Focus and a Toyota Corolla (which I have been in the back seat for all three cars). My knees don't feel as claustrophobic in the Civic than the competitors. The central compartment holds up to 10 CDS and is pretty useful for storing things like a GPS.
The compartments in the front of the car could use a little remodeling. They could of replicated the look of the Honda Accord compartments, which includes a press-down, open-up compartment. Also, buyers may not like the new split-up Tachometer/Speedometer. The price tag of this model of the Civic is also a bit more expensive than the Corolla or the Focus.
This car is the best investment anyone can make! With its sleekish look, plenty of options, great fuel economy and reliability, you cant go wrong with this car! Think about this, When you look at all the cars out there, look how many Old/New Honda Civics that are out there still running...

Car rides smooth and has better pick-up than cars with much larger engines. Gas mileage is terrific! It has more inside space than our previous Accord.

this car is a real beautiful car.however the transmission is jerky and the gas mileage is disappointing so far.I only have 1800 miles on it so i am hoping by the time this car is fully broken in these issues will be resolved.
