I traded a 2003 in on a new 2008. Given the price of this car, combined with its utility, you really can't go wrong. It's probably more of a car for 'flat landers' as any vehicle with 166 HP ain't exactly going to get you over the passes in the Rockies ahead of the pack.

Owning two English Springer Spaniels, this car is ideal. Easy to clean.

Besides, for only 23K (sticker price) I really don't caer where I park it or what trouble the dogs might get into.

The sound system is great, there's tons of room for hauling stuff and the reliability is excellent (no problems with the '03 or the '08). I live on a property with a steep driveway and the E goes up it without hesitation even when the driveway is snow covered.

I love my 2008 Honda Element SC, I like the way it drives and it does have good pick up. I like the XM radio, the inside of the car is great, The room you have is unreal. You can fold the back seats up and you have so much room. I love the color, I like the low profile tires that came on it. My 11 year old daughter loves it too. There is room for her friends and all there stuff. The front and back seats lay all the way back and are very comfortable. We are enjoying our Element , I got it for my birthday in Nov. 2007, best birthday ever ! Thanks to my wonderful husband I have such a great ride!!

Just bought my element here in Houston last Saturday. I love it so far. I think it would be nice if the element was a little cheaper, but Honda is worth a little extra for the durability you get. I drove a wet dog around the first day I had it--how many other cars/suvs can you do that with and not destroy it? I took a nap in the back seat today, and it was amazingly comfortable. The way the windows are designed, the heat and sun mostly stay out. On top of that, the a/c is probably the best I've ever had. I have to turn it all the way down pretty quickly--my face gets so cold it hurts. If you like camping, biking, dogs, or other dirty fun, I recommend and E.

I added a trailer hitch and now have a way to carry more stuff for camping. I would like better quality tires for a smoother ride as well as more options like a gauge stating when the gas tank will be empty. For the price and the comfort I dont thing you can go wrong. The airbags and other safety features are solid. I have over a 1000 miles now and I enjoy the vehicle thoroughly. The Honda Dealership near my home is run by good people so I can rely on them if any problems occur. Co worker called it a Tissue Box and I am good with that, I think I might get a personalized plate.

Bought the car to commute in. My daughter loves it. We put the seats up and she can play while we are doing outside activities. Don't have to worry about the carpet getting dirty because there isn't any. Very easy to handle. We LOVE this car!

Absolutely love my Element. I am through my third tank of gas and I am averaging 20 MPG with about 70% of my driving in town - AC not on. It is a very fun to drive vehicle and gets a lot of attention - curious people poke their head in and a lot of skepticism turns to envy once they view the inside.

The heater gets very hot very quickly and it rides beautifully in cruise control. Took a drive on the interstate with some pretty good winds and surprisingly I didn't get muscled around like I thought I would. My previous vehicle was a mini-van (Chevy Venture) and it was brutal in the wind.

I really love the view....lots of window space and sits up nicely with comfortable seats. Mine came with 90 days of XM radio and I think I will keep it - great selection of music and the sound system is excellent. Now, a few drawbacks.

I don't like the location of the drink holders....they are all of the way on the floor so reaching down from the seat is further than I thought it would be and you have to take your eyes off the road for the back spot. Next, no automatic lights in the car or daytime running lights? I owned an 04 w/ these and I thought it was mandated but it isn't. Also, if you leave the lights on in the car...the bell beeps but there's no shutoff so you have to worry about the battery running down. I already left them on once, but only for about an hour!

I had to really dig to find negative but given the chance I would do it all again!

I bought a used 2006 Tangerine Element and it is very cute! It is large inside and you can move the contents of your home in a few trips (not couches and large furniture of course), it is great for taking the pet for a ride. The ride is what you would expect in a small SUV, some road noise, but not bad at all. Two complaints I would say I have is this vehicle only had 10K miles when I bought it and I noticed after the purchase that the passenger seat threading is pulling a part which means to me that the seat is going to tear and the other issue is you have to undo the seatbelt to let someone in the backseat. Overall, it is a great vehicle and I would buy another one. I wish they would offer more options, but then the price would go up. Good vehicle, I would not discourage anyone from purchasing one.

Okay suv, however it does have problems that they don't seem to be able to fix. Has no power at all when climbing hills or passing. Heavy winds it does not hold well, slips in the snow, have to be very careful. Wish I had not bought this. It looks nice, sterro system is good, like the sun roof, seats are to short, therefore it cuts on your legs on long trips. Fuel is ok, depends on winds or if you have to climb hills which I do, then there is no power.

I recently took a 4000 mile road trip to the SW from TN. My Element performed flawlessly and got an overall 27mpg. There is great reliability with this vehicle. I can easily clean the flooring due to having a large dog. Lots of space. It is also very responsive and corners well. Great vehicle, and I highly recommend it to anyone.

I have owned many cars, porsche, bmw, mercedes etc,,,but i was tired of the upkeep$$$..and wanted something different. This has so much room, the ride is actually quite good. The SC package is nice, tires, wheels etc...wish it had fog lights as std..it should for the price, and lighted controls on the steering wheel. I love driving it, while not a rocket, it is just fun, and it is a vehicle that seems to get noticed...a "chick toaster" one person called it..boxy etc...I think if you drive it for what it is...you will not be disappointed. I have had mine for about 9 mos and really have enjoyed it to this point.
