2009 HUMMER H2 SUT User Reviews
- Great vehicle on or off road
- cant think of any
Purchased As New
I have an 08' SUT with 70K miles and still runs great. No major problems and still looks brand new.Lots of fun in mud, sand, rocks, hills, and even 2' of water. I have yet to find a hill it cant climb. Great sound system and DVD players for kids.
I will always buy American!

- GREAT VISABILITY, POWER & RUGGED LOOKS
- TOO MUCH PLASTIC
Purchased As New
My 2008 SUT is the third, a previous 2004 & 2005 made me a HUMMER fan. The 08 has a much nicer interior. The 6.2L engine over the old 6.0L made a big difference as well as the 6spd tranny.
Backup camera for 08 was a necessary upgrade. The SUT has a tall liftgate, so being able to see behind is welcome. I am disappointed that HUMMER was not able to survive. I feel it did not deserve the bad MPG rap it received? As Land Rover, Land Cruiser, QX56 all get worse mileage than the H2. I have a marine sticker on mine and am proud it represents what used to be great about the USA....read morehide

- The way is holds the road and great looks.
- Ride alittle rough but it's a 6300 lbs of truck,SUV.
I have own about 20 to 25 vehicle in my life. Some SUV,Truck may ride better . But for my H-2 SUT it is my best vehicle for me and my family. I drive in city and freeway. I feel safe and people dont pull out in front of you. The have put over size tries and rims on it and had no trouble going off road . The H-2 has the power to handle the hills and the room for a Family of 5 . The kids love the DVD player and I love the Bose sound system. For gas 11.9 city 14 to 15 mpg high way. I love the look and the way it owns the road. The way it pulls a trailer like it's not even working hard. I feel that as time goes on the look of a Hummer will not get old.I have 40,000 miles on the SUT with out any trouble at all. But I am enjoing it more now that the price of gas are down. Take a H-2 out for a weekend of fun....read morehide

- Looks great! Great radio!
- Navigation gets you lost! Front R tire Rubbing on sway bar, Cheap leather seats,Too many bind spots
Seats are not good on a 1 hours road trip or longer. Once you take it off road it doesn't sound the same. Noises everywhere! Tonneau Cover doesn't stay latched. Front Steering Stabalizer bar moves to the right after re-aligned; hitting the front tires when turning hard right turns. Check the next hummer you see even the H3 do it too! Steering gear box can not handle the massive pressure from the weight of the vehicle! Programmable Seats are the way to go. Leather seats are cheap grade leather. Not alot of leg room in the back seats if you have 2 normal sized adults in the front. My child gets smooshed! Navagation is sometimes right then OMG it sends you to Lala land. Never go anywhere with out a Mapquest directions to recheck the Nav! Mileage is not really bad at all! 10.6-13.1 in town and 10.6-16.1 on the freeway. Rear DVD players great but one like to fall out sometimes! Fun to drive but not for a long time...thus the lack of comfort on the seats! Seat warmers actually work. Rear window is great! The automatic all windows down button is a gift to any truck when it HOT with Black leather in the sun! So not worth the Money! Or because People looking at you nasty because all you wanted was a truck that could climb over a tree if it fell infront of you on the road or even go up the highest mountain to get away from anything! I would never buy anything from GM ever again...Going back to Ford!!!...read morehide

- Look at me styling ,lacking manhood vehicle -sooo cool
- gas milage ,quality,GM out of business ,why did I buy this?
Where else but America could you buy this type of truck? Lousy fir and finish, clunky power train a gas mileage only Exxon would love . Smallish interior ,what did they do with all the room? Sluggish performance ,guess all these plastic parts they added make extra weight ! People ,when they see me in this boat show me I am number one ,nice of them eh?
This vehicle really does make up for something I am mi ssing ,that is brains, manhood, and taste.
If I could sell this mastodon ,I would but it is worth $15k less than I paid ,guess I am stuck with it . At least rednecks like it !...read morehide

- No trim specified for this review
Another pretenious American truck, Sure it looks cool, and is very nice inside - but who needs it - NO ONE! I buy and restore houses out of a PT Cruiser. If I had my choice I would by a Chevy Tornado which is made in Mexico. Please buy an appropriate sized vehicle with some decent fuel economy.
