2007 HUMMER H2 SUV User Reviews
- No trim specified for this review
- Excellent ride, still turns heads, DVD headrests, back-up cam, hmmm...
- interior a bit plasticky/cheap, front right tire rubs when making tight left turn, not much else
BEST SUV I've ever owned!!! Being a professed addict of automobiles...I have fortunately been able to ride and own some nice SUV's ranging from Cayenne S to the military Mercedes G500. With no doubt...the H2 beats them all. It has the four-wheel drive prowess of the G500 but is much, much, much more comfortable to drive. And it turns heads more than the Porsche Cayenne.
Although a bit plasticky and cheap, the interior holds up pretty well and matches the sturdiness or "manliness" of the vehicle. Yes...the 2008 has an upgraded interior...BUT that type of interior is one reserved for the likes of the Escalade or GMC Denali. The exterior is certaily bold and I believe the interior should equally be BOLD. What really excited me about this vehicle was when the salesperson took me for a ride (and then let me drive) on the Hummer test track at the dealership. Granted I won't be driving on a 60 degree incline or a 40 degree banked curve in the near future...but the mere fact that this vehicle can perform such feats is quite impressive. Absolutely love the DVD headrests as they can play individually separate or the same movies. I like the fact that you can pipe the sound through all speakers if you like. Some folks may find this feature advantageous as it can help keep a sleepy/drowsy driver awake in the middle of the night.
Of course some people complain about the fuel economy...BUT really...when you purchase a vehicle like this you ought to know what you are getting into, in terms of substandard gas mileage. Personally I'm happy with the almost 12mpg I'm getting in combined city/highway driving. My 2006 F250 V8 gets only 9.5mpg. Aside from a few plasticky trim pieces, the only other con I can think of is the few times I receive negative smirks/looks/comments from fellow onlookers. Darn environmentalists.
Oh well...I say if you can afford one of these babys...BUY IT...you won't regret it. Oh did I forget to mention that it's FUN TO DRIVE!!!
