I originally had a 2001 Hyundai Accent which I had purchased new and just traded it in for a 2011 Hyundai Accent SE. I just love the Accent, had no problems with the 2001 and hopefully should have no problems with the 2011. The 2011 had greatly improved since 2001. Just can't say enough about them. When the 2011 goes, will probably buy another one....read morehide

I have been driving thhis car for almost a year. I am completely satified with the performance and the ride. It is everything that I have been looking for in a economy car.

- Pros
- Well built, decent room inside and in the trunk. Fun to drive!
- Cons
- Engine hums over 3500 rpm, would like to have cruise control.

With the 5 speed transmission, this car is peppy when pushed, about 0-60 in 10.0 seconds flat. It is not as attractive from the back as it is in the front and side view. Many standard features are often missing in entry level models, but mine has ABS, 4 wheel disc brakes, fold down rear seats and a surprising stereo for an entry level car. My overall mileage is 28-32 mpg depending on how much highway driving is done. Not bad, and with optional 15" wheels and good 195/60 Yokahama tires, handling is predictable and a bit sporty. I do advocate the manual transmission in this car! This 2006 model now has over 83,000 miles with no major problems....read morehide

Hyundai Accent three door car is a good car for the money. But, it is not a family car in any respect. Why sell it as a 5 people family car?

Hyundai refuses to honor any warranty. Do NOT be fooled by their advertising. If you have a problem, they will NOT cover it. I own 3 Hyundais all purchased in 2006. I have yet to have one single item on any of the three covered under warranty, including A/C, Transmission, Internal Engine. DO NOT BUY a Hyundai. You will regret it!...read morehide

The Hyundai Accent 2011 is a good car for anyone who favor affordability and fuel economy over performance. It may be a right choice for car buyers on a affordable budget.

- Pros
- Good fuel economy, roomy interior, fun to drive
- Cons
- Slow on the take-off, driver blind-side hinderance, hard to get into the back seat.

Basically, I love my lil Accent! It was well worth the purchase for me. I drive around town and get great gas mileage. It is a smooth ride. I have the 5-speed and I do like that, however, it is a slow take-off at stop lights, which is not fun for those aggressive drivers behind you on the roads of today. I was thrilled when I saw that inside was quite roomy which I found interesting because the exterior looks so small. The back seat could be easier to get into tho, don't ask a large person to try to smush their way into it. When I first got the Accent and was backing out of a parking spot, the blind side to the right back is quite large, so be aware of that! The heating and a/c could use a bit more umph, but I am willing to overlook that due to excellent performance of everything else. This car is a keeper!...read morehide

This car is great and wortn every bit of the $ 14,882.00 I paid for it....stickered at 17,399.00 and got out of the door in cash.
It is a bit slow on auto transmission, but just gotta learn when to pick your fights on the road with the other crazies out there.
This car has a fantastic sound system......quiet ride.....great handling......If anyone bashes this car , they are used to driving something that costs over $ 30,000.00
It is not advertised as speed machine.....It has great mileage and is great for 2 - 3 people at most....If you are a family of 5.......don't buy it.....stick with your old broken down ride....read morehide3 out of 5 people found this review helpful.

I have only had my Accent a few weeks, I absolutely love this little car, I have a 92 mile combined commute to work & back and this gets me back and forth for a week on $30, I was paying $80-$90 per week in gas driving my Toyota truck so this is huge for me. Its comfortable to drive and scoots around real good. Im glad I got this car & it comes with a great warranty and roadside assistance (not that I'll need it unless I get a flat tire or something stupid..)...read morehide
