starts after head on collision into a 3/4 ton chevy van at 40mph, and gets you away from crime scene. AIR BAGS DO NOT DEPLOY (this is a plus) and Doesn't obstruct vision while fleeing from the accident. There should be an extra star for reliability. Appearance, 2 star after accident, better than a night in county. i suggest getting a grill guard for this beatsy tank.
ps, good on gas....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- MPG not as promised

MPG 32-40 stated only getting 32 on hghwy driving reasonably. Salesman said some were getting 47? No spare tire just a spray can, if the rim is bent on a pothole you are out of luck, real cheap. Hood latch gets tripped on exit with my size 12s. Poor visibilty and take the back head rests out to improve. This is my 3rd Hyundai and 1st disappointment....read morehide

I got this car as a graduation gift. My first day I drove it 335 miles and only refilled once. The next 2 days drove around town and to a town 45 minutes away twice before having to fill up again. Day 4 drove it another 546 miles and used 2 tanks of gas. The only time I really had problems was the seat after 5-6 hours in it became hard and a certain area became sore. I did not have any trouble passing on the freeways as I traveled. The stereo sounds good and all the added features of Ipod, usb, and cd/MP3 drive was nice for traveling so as to not lose a good song when out of range of radio station. Once finally home I used it to transport a few of my clients who are in wheelchairs. No problems getting clients in car but wheelchairs were a small challege. I had to put the backseat down to get them in far enough to close trunk. AC/heater worked great since we live in TX with 100+ degree days. i love my little "toy" car but miss my V8 mustang....read morehide

I originally had a 2001 Hyundai Accent which I had purchased new and just traded it in for a 2011 Hyundai Accent SE. I just love the Accent, had no problems with the 2001 and hopefully should have no problems with the 2011. The 2011 had greatly improved since 2001. Just can't say enough about them. When the 2011 goes, will probably buy another one....read morehide

- Pros
- Well built, decent room inside and in the trunk. Fun to drive!
- Cons
- Engine hums over 3500 rpm, would like to have cruise control.

With the 5 speed transmission, this car is peppy when pushed, about 0-60 in 10.0 seconds flat. It is not as attractive from the back as it is in the front and side view. Many standard features are often missing in entry level models, but mine has ABS, 4 wheel disc brakes, fold down rear seats and a surprising stereo for an entry level car. My overall mileage is 28-32 mpg depending on how much highway driving is done. Not bad, and with optional 15" wheels and good 195/60 Yokahama tires, handling is predictable and a bit sporty. I do advocate the manual transmission in this car! This 2006 model now has over 83,000 miles with no major problems....read morehide

Hyundai Accent three door car is a good car for the money. But, it is not a family car in any respect. Why sell it as a 5 people family car?

Hyundai refuses to honor any warranty. Do NOT be fooled by their advertising. If you have a problem, they will NOT cover it. I own 3 Hyundais all purchased in 2006. I have yet to have one single item on any of the three covered under warranty, including A/C, Transmission, Internal Engine. DO NOT BUY a Hyundai. You will regret it!...read morehide

The Hyundai Accent 2011 is a good car for anyone who favor affordability and fuel economy over performance. It may be a right choice for car buyers on a affordable budget.

- Pros
- Good fuel economy, roomy interior, fun to drive
- Cons
- Slow on the take-off, driver blind-side hinderance, hard to get into the back seat.
Purchased As New
Basically, I love my lil Accent! It was well worth the purchase for me. I drive around town and get great gas mileage. It is a smooth ride. I have the 5-speed and I do like that, however, it is a slow take-off at stop lights, which is not fun for those aggressive drivers behind you on the roads of today. I was thrilled when I saw that inside was quite roomy which I found interesting because the exterior looks so small. The back seat could be easier to get into tho, don't ask a large person to try to smush their way into it. When I first got the Accent and was backing out of a parking spot, the blind side to the right back is quite large, so be aware of that! The heating and a/c could use a bit more umph, but I am willing to overlook that due to excellent performance of everything else. This car is a keeper!...read morehide
