There's certainly a whole lot to like about this car. The standard features and appearance are great. For the negative, I'd say the position of the cup-holders, and the fact that there is only the 2 up front. For the sedan model, the lack of a back window-wiper is a bit of a disappointment. Of course this is just nitpicking, but hopefully Hyundai will sort this out in later models....read morehide

I bought this car after getting married. The main thing I don't like is the lack of cup holders which you'll notice if you do family vacations.

Very good fuel economy. Regularly, I get around 37 to 40MPG for daily use. Hit 53MPG for a very hilly 300 mile road trip. I got the upgrade package - love the steering wheel control blue tooth and radio. I can control my ipod from my steering wheel, which is unheard of (for me, at least) and amazing. Seat seems to already have lumbar support - very comfortable for long drives. Car is very low on wind noise - so it feels like I'm driving slower than it really is, but that's nice. This car is worth every penny as I can see that when I sell this after a few years, it'll probably still hold its value well. Not very powerful, but that isn't a must-have for me. I just want safe and reliable, which this car definitely is. On top of this car being entirely awesome, it's one of the cheapest out there so paying it off fast will not be difficult. My husband and I are absolutely in love with this car and he is jealous it's mine. We have looked at other cars such as Civic and Versa - they are each lower-end vehicles of their makers like Accent is but for the cost, it wasn't even half of what we got in the Accent. Once we knew how much we wanted to spend on a car and looked at our options from various makers, we knew almost instantly that Accent was ours. Driver's seat also has the pump thing you can use to lower or lift your seat as well as the adjustable height steering wheel. I love the blue lights in the interior and that the gear shift letters light up. I also enjoy watching the instantaneous MPG meter on the dash while I drive. It's a narrow car but when you sit inside, it feels very roomy. Since it is a narrow car, I can do some u-turns most cars can't make. My husband is also super impressed with the maintenance end of the car. I didn't pay much attention but he says this car goes for more miles before needing whatever maintenance work like oil change. Also, let's mention how amazing this four door looks! Great car. More people should get it!...read morehide

Love this car! I've had many new vehicles in my 30 years including a Nissan 350z, BMW M3, assortment of trucks etc. However in 2007 I decided to be practical and bought a New Elantra, the warranty was enticing. Had it for 2 years and sold it for 500 dollars less than I bought it for with 24,000 miles on the odo. Impressed by the quality and economy I decided I missed having a Hyundai, and picked this up 9 Days ago. I drive quite a bit mostly city, and with 800 miles I've averaged 28 mpg approx. I'm a little concerned that the odometer is off, accumalating miles inaccurately.... or maybe i really just drive a lot, I'm going to a shop that has a dyno just to check next week.
But let me tell you, this new car has such a supple ride, I hold conversation easily with my passengers, while driving through downpours and heavy winds.. this car handles it with aplombe. No dissappointments thus far....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Inexpensive, Looks nice, features included in base prices that other companies charge you extra for
- Cons
- Fuel economy is not what is advertised. Eco is worthless.

I bought this car in June of 2011 I bought it for price and the features included in the pricing. I couldn't afford the pricing/interest rates of a Ford Focus. I drove this car approx three months and had to get the transmission fully replaced. They were prettty good about it as I already had the 7 years warranty which includes free rental car. I have not had any more problem with this car mechanically(know on wood)
The fuel economy is NOT what is advertised with or without eco mode. ECO MODE is dangerous to drive with it engaged....read morehide1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

I purchsed this car 10/1/11 and have put on 15,000 so far. have maintained great gas milage so far w/ averaging about 35mpg, with a good mix of both hi-way and intown driving. Be careful not to spill anything on the seats, they stain very easily... and hard to get out.. I've got 3 kids that fit comfortably in the back seat w/ a car seat in the middle no problems.. Would like to have leather seats....read morehide

- Great fuel economy
- Cons
- Overall comfort and performance is not at the top.

I purchased a Boston red 2012 Hyundai accent 5 door in august 2011. I find it to be overall a great car. The only thing I can say I find a bit lacking is the seat comfort, console storage and the performance of the car if you have to accelerate quickly.
For the price that is not bad.0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Cons
- Fuel economy is not what is advertised. Eco is worthless. Shifts funny

I bought this car in June of 2011 right after the new model hit the pavement. I bought it for price. At that time I couldn't touch a Ford Fiesta or Focus for under 20 grand. I drove this car three days and had to get the transmission replaced. They were prettty good about it and gave me a 7 year bumper to bumper out of the 10 year warranty. I have not had any more problem with this car mechanically.
The fuel economy is NOT what is advertised. I am surprised to read that some people are getting 35 in the city? I sure have not experienced that. If I drive mixed I get 28. If you drive 3/4 freeway you can expect maybe 32MPG. This is with or without eco mode. ECO MODE... all I can say is that I don't drive with it any more because I feel it is dangerous to drive with it engaged. Plus, like I said, the in my experience there has been little to no improvement in mileage. This car is a real nice freeway cruiser. It was built with that in mind. Doesn't handle like a sports car so don't expect that. Personally I think it was a good tradeoff. It does what it is supposed to do, but you cant put it into corners hard. But hey this is a 15,000 dollar car....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.
