I have a Hyundai Accent 2000 and it's still going strong (i am the only driver).I purchased it Brand New and knows him (it) like I know the Alphabet (lol). Only now since 2012 it started calling for parts change and is getting some rust spots and fading from the sun. I would buy another one if i had the money but i don't and i probably wont get anything most for it if i sell it because of the age and i can't use the alarm now because it's not working . I might just ride out the age and then walk after but....I really love my car. I live in the caribbean on an island name Anguilla. The most Northern island in the caribbean sea. We really don't have the best of roads and my car stayed with me for this long. This month February makes it 13yrs. (wow). I can be contacted: at mothernature82@hotmail.com if someone wants to "pimp my ride." (lol). This type of car is awesome. A life time guarantee!...read morehide

- Pros
- mileage, appearance, full featured, VALUE!
- Cons
- could use a telescoping steering wheel. No heated seats

I owned a 2010 Accent and this is a wonderful upgrade. A great little car when purchased with most the features. The stereo, seats, paddle shifter, interior and design are very good. The steering wheel controls for the stereo with bluetooth phone controls was a welcome surprise. The warranty is great. The Accent is one of the best looking cars in it's class. The lines scream I'm fast even though it's average in acceleration. Nice rally wheels with 4 wheel antilock disc brakes. You'll pay thousands more for the same features made by US manufacturers. I shopped and drove most the cars in this class and I can assure you that there is not a better value out there....read morehide

Where to start? Each salesman has a different explanation of what the ECO button does. None of them know.
I had to slam on the brakes and turn the wheel shortly after buying the car. The rear went up into the air! The bumper hit the ground and was scratched. NOT SAFE!
The radio occassionally goes out....read morehide1 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

Just want to draw everyone's attention that there is no spare tire in hyundai accent. It was abig suprise to me. They replaced spare tire with a repaire kit. This has not been mentioned in any where:
car features, options, expert reviews and definetely not by sale representives. It caught me off-guard. Don't you think that it is not fair that not to let cusumer know this before they purchase the car. You have to figure it out by your self. But most people would assume that there is alway a spare tire in the new car....read morehide6 out of 6 people found this review helpful.

I bought this car new. I love the appearance. I have approximately 4900 miles on it as of right now. It gets great gas mileage. I average 35 mpg in town and 44mpg on highway. I haven't had any problems so far, and I love the 100,000 mile power train and the 60,000 mile bumper to bumper package. Great car...read morehide

Daughter bought this new...6 speed automatic. Perfect car for her as there is less power than her last car (likes gun it stop light to stop light). Good gas mileage...got 42 mpg on road trip over 2 mountain passes and is averaging 34 mpg.
Seats were a little hard for a long road trip but they are fine for motoring around town. So far less than 5000 miles so unknown about reliability....read morehide1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

This is my third generation Accent. I drive a lot more than most people, 30,000 miles in 11 months. I do almost 100% of it in the city of Memphis Tn. so I know how a car feels and drives better than most. The last generation Accent you could drive through an obstacle course at rather high speeds and handle them with no sweat. It felt like driving a go cart, very fun and very fatiguing. You could wear out some tires with this car with the manual transmission. The new Accent has so many features like traction control and stability control that you can forget the fun. You will keep tread on your tires for a lot longer though. It's not a very comfortable car either. This Accent went from the 107hp in the former model to 138 in the new model, but it feels like I'm going slower or no faster in the 0-60mph takeoff. This car does feel more solid than the older model but the last model was pretty good considering. Last models ignition switch had to be replaced, this one feeling funny after only 11 months, weird! Overall I do recommend!...read morehide
