2007 Hyundai Azera

- Massive interior space. Superb ergonomic layout. A lot of thought was put into creature comforts.
- Transmission has trouble finding right gear. Nitnoid small problems. Cornering leaves a lot tbd.
Purchased As New
Bought an aubergine (egg plant) Limited for 25.8k on a 32k sticker. Immediately impressed with acceleration, interior roominess, massive trunk, and superb ergonomic layout, big cup holders, both front windows with one-click up and down, rear privacy shade. Just too much to mention. But have had some issues that have needed warranty repair such as a gas gauge that just went dead, a dash that needed to be replaced because the airbag seams were splitting, and recently a transmission adjustment that I'm still not sure has fixed the issue. Overall superb car for the money. But nitnoid issues like a transmission that doesn't downshift quickly enough, soft cornering, front doors that will not stay open even on level surfaces, and a paint job that swirls when waxed make this car on the cusp of greatness, but not quite there. Would buy again for the same price. But at 25k, you're getting what you paid for. Buy this car for the long haul since trade in value is still dreadful for Hyundais....read morehide

- Luxury look, every bell and whistle, except a GPS (but I own and prefer the portable model)
- Could have better city gas milege and a bit more 'green' in the sage color (looks more like a grey)
This car will definitely give you that 'I've arrived!' feeling once you get behind the spacious wheel. Everything you could want is at your finger tips, including the accessible sunglass compartment. I love the sensors for the wipers, the 5 levels of heated seats, the duel climate control, the XM satellite music, the clear open vision of the windows (no blind spots), the rear retractable shade, and the great pep and styling of the car. I've had my eye on the Azera since it came out in 2006. But having purchased the XG350 in 2004, I couldn't justify buying it then. But now I wish I had...I would have been enjoying my Azera that much longer. A great car for the money. And I haven't even mentioned the countless safety features and the 8 airbags! You owe it to yourself to drive an Azera before making any other purchase....read morehide

- Safety and other features that come standard. Acceleration, smooth shifting. Interior comfort.
- Could be a little better MPG, other than that nothing really.
After 18 years of Toyota ownership, the last six in Avalons, decided to look at something else since wife and I did not like the look of the current Avalons both inside and out. After 2 months of test driving, kept coming back to the Azera. We like the outside look and felt that the exterior and interior fit-and-finish as good as if not better than Avalon. Ride is not better or worse than Avalon, just different. Love all of the features that come standard, such as the ESC and TCS for safety, and ABS with Brake assist and EBD. We got the car with the Ultimate Premium package and love all of the added features. Quietness equal to or better than Avalon. Quality of materials used as good as any car in its segment if not better. Acceleration and smooth transmission is nice. We still take long travel trips with four adults so trunk space is important. Azera trunk of 16.6 cubic feet much better than current Avalon's 14.0. Not concerned with reliability since latest data shows the car to be very reliable. If we have some issues would not be any different than Avalons since we had to take them in for reliability issues, plus have the 5 year bumper-to-bumper and 100,000 warranty to back it up. We have had the car for 1 month, 1000 miles, and are pleased with our choice. If you are looking for a car in this segment you really need to test drive this car, we were pleasantly surprised, you may be too....read morehide

- Fit and finish, comfortable interior, lot of car for the money.
- None yet.
Just brought home a new 2007 Beige on Beige Limited XM for 23,900. The dealer even threw-in the remote starter which is very nice in New England in the winter! Replaced a 2004 Sonata which we were very happy with (going to be Grandson's first car!)
That said, the Azera is MUCH quiter inside and rides much better with loads more power. It's hard to believe how quiet it is inside. The engine is super quiet as well. It has a definite feeling of moving up a class in vehicle. Once we test drove it we were sold. Since it was built after 2/26/07 I expect that it has the upgraded front struts per TSB07-50-007 because it's very quiet with no noticable front end clunk over bumps that some earlier built vehicles have had. It rides beautifully. Had the Auto-lock and limp-home mode programmed before pick-up. May do daytime running lights as well.
Based on the reliability of our other two Hyundais, the 2004 Sonata and a 2004 Santa Fe (still have) which are both trouble free, I expect the Azera to hold up very well. Excellent Sales & Service dept at Rt.2 Huyndai in Leominster, MA. We were a little apprehensive about Hyundai before purchasing our 2004's but now we know that they are very well built and reliable, enough so that we bought the Azera. We've also had a Camry and the Azzy has so much more class! A lot of car for less than the competition....read morehide

- Loaded with everything you can think of. Looks like it should be worth $45,000.
- Gas mileage in the city is not good, but in the highway the needle on the gas guage barely moves.
I purchased the limited 07 Azera with XM with premium package for $24,500, that's $5,500 off the sticker. Not a bad deal. I got the powder white pearl and my dad got the black with Ultimate package.

- great fuel economy
- ride is excellent and very comfortable. WOW power with a v-6 that is increadable
Great value for the amount of standard items you get on the vehicle...tops in ride and comfort. Lots and lots of power and extras that are cost items for all other cars or the based price is alot higher it they are included. Just a great car. They have a winner here. Recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury car with a budget....read morehide

- room,comfort,power,luxury items,gas mileage.
- none at all.
Bought 4-18-07, just finished 2065 mile trip to the northeast averaged 27.8 m.p.g. , 65-70 m.p.h. 75% interstate, 25% side roads. This is the best car I have ever owned--65 years old. Before I bought, I investigated the azera for a year and couldn't be better satisfied unless they gave it to me. Bought from Jim Ellis in Atlanta,Ga and they were great folks to deal with and gave me what I considered a great price. Happy with Azera!...read morehide

- Big bang for the buck. Looks more expensive than it is. Extremely comfortable with adjustable petals
- Non other than gas milage is nowhere near what the window sticker claims.
So far my wife & I have owned Vw's, 2 Vans ( VW & Toyota) , 3 toyotas, Nissan Maxima, Datson, Plymouth Fury, @ 2 Chyslers, Cadillac, Lincoln, Mercury and a Diesel Mercedes. My wifes present Azera is the pick of the litter. Around town it get 13.6 mpg while being driven conservatively, highway is in the mid 20's. Warranty is the best I've seen for any vehicle. The limited as enough bells and whistles to satisfy most people. Really can't go wrong buying one....read morehide

- Lots of leg room front and back for tall people.
I have a 2006 and this has been by far one of the finest automobiles I have ever owned. I place the vehicle above any toyota or honda. My hats off to this manufacture. Great Job....
