Purchased As Used
If you would have asked me if I would buy a Hyundai 3 weeks before I bought htis car I would have said no. I didn't even know Hyundai made a luxury car. I had been shopping for a Maxima, Camry, Accord, or Cadillac CTS. The salesman said he'd had no reason to sell one car over another (he'd make the same comission no matter what I bought) but suggested I look at the Azera. The online research I did said Hyundai's had poor resale value. This worked in my favor. I paid 19,100 for a 7 month old (2008) Limited (with the satelite radio entertainment system) with just 6700miles on it. Some of the crazy features you don't get on similarly priced cars: air conditioning vent in the back seat, a power plug in the back seat, power rear window sunscreen, power adjustable pedal height, 4 way power adjustable steering column, 5 level heated front seats, driver seat 8 way power adjustable plus power lumbar support, front passenger 6 way power adjustable. Strangely I had the buy the floor mats extra. After just over a year on the road: 385 days, 9631 miles (mostly city), 438.544 gallons of regular = 21.96mpg. No problems as of yet. I expect to keep this car for at least 10 years. (I kept my last one, a Maxima, for 17.) The Azera is the best kept luxury car secret. The only people who know anything about them are their owners.
The styling is non-descript. I have trouble recognizing my own car when I'm waiting for it at a valet. The car stops fine, but I'm used to the pedal pressure I used in my old car. I would buy this car again and I would recommend it to friends.
