Purchased As New
We bot this new Hundai Azera in August '09. I waited till now (12-10-09) to write this review so I would have some miles on the car BEFORE offering an opinion.--I am a very satisfied owner.---The car handles very well. Braking is excellent. The car is a "tight" car w/ no rattles.-- The interior is nicely designed and comfortable. We have the premium package w/ sun roof & leather heated seats. At this time we have a little over 3,000 miles on the car. This is a relatively
heavy" car w/ a curb weight of 3,600 lbs.--Over a 1,000 mile suburban (w/ considerable traffic) test, surprisingly I got 21.5 MPG. This was almost all suburban driving at 30 to 45 MPH. In our area "suburban driving" entails many traffic lights and moderate traffic. Accordingly I was in the lower gears and did not get into overdrive. We took one trip with Freeway/Thruway driving and got 26 MPG at constant (cruise) speeds of 70-72 MPH. In all cases the car gave us a very confortable ride. With 234 HP this car has very good "get away" speed and passing capabiles when needed. The fact that the rear (split) seats can be pulled down to open into the trunk and present a very large long flat surface is a wonderful feature. Skis and all equippment easily fit INSIDE the car for travel and still allow normal seating for 3 passengers.
I believe the 2010 Azera is the same as mine.
I just don't know what else I could ask for.
I can and I do recommend purchase of this car.
P.S. I have no economic interest in Hundai or any dealer.
