2013 Hyundai Elantra GT User Reviews
- $18,545 - $19,545
- No trim specified for this review
- Great set of features for the money, nice ride, sharp looking
- Beware of the MPG claims (40/29)
Purchased As New
After my wife's claims of getting lousy gas mileage in mostly city driving, I finally did a manual calculation using odometer readings and gallons of gas to fill the tank since the previous visit. The result: 19.1 MPG. This is incredibly disappointing when you consider Hyundai's city MPG claims is 29 MPG. It is especially stunning when compared to the 18 city MPG I get in my Subaru Outback--a station wagon with all-wheel drive!
There is no question that the Elantra GT is a fun car that gives you a lot for the money. But if gas mileage is the major factor in your purchase decision, I am being kind in saying that I would think twice before buying this car. I encourage you to look at Edmunds and read other people's thoughts about real world mileage in the Elantra GT.
