Well I have owned my 2013 Hyundai Elantra for about 2 weeks now.. so far I am averaging 31-33 mpg to and from work. ( I drive a very curvy road with lots of hills) so I am impressed. I haven't taken on a long hwy drive anxious to see it continue to climb. I enjoy the leather heated seats and spacious cabin. I was in the market for trading in my small SUV that got 26 mpg for something even better. I compared this, a Chevy Cruze, and a Ford Focus. For the amenities, price, slightly better fuel economy, and space this was the definite winner. Not to mention BETTER WARRANTY! I love my sun roof, and buttons on my steering wheel. Overall very happy with my decision and I definitely think I will continue to enjoy my new car! Having the windows tinted helps tremendously to keep the cabin cooler in the hot Texas summer weather I live in... Make sure you pay extra at the dealership or go buy you a spare tire & jack kit.. the inflation kit is nice for a nail to get u down the road.. but having road side assistance wasn't enough for me. If I have a blow out I want to know that my husband or the AAA can come to my car and change it a spare so I can get to a tire shop. I don't want them to have to tow my car somewhere while I have to wait for it to be fixed... just my own preference. XM radio is a plus, as well as the USB and AUX jacks. I do wish the back of the center console had air vents to the passengers in back seat and an additional charging plug. Just minor details, nothing that derailed my decision. Comparing the size while I drove the cruze and focus was very noticeable for me in the head and leg room. I am 5'7 female and I felt crowded. My husband had his seat all the way back in both cars and hes only 5'11 and his knees were still practically in the dash.. plus by doing so there was NO leg room in the back for passengers. With the elantra his seat does not need to be all the way back and he fits comfortably. Worth a test drive I think you will enjoy it!
