Needed a new van and looked between Caravan, Quest, Sedona, Odyssey, and Sienna. The only competition I preferred was the Odyssey but was priced out of our price range for the features the Entourage offered. (The Sedona is a carbon copy of the Entourage). I have had a Elantra and have loved the service I have received from Hyundai.
I have put 10k miles on the vehicle and have had it looked at once for a broken window pulley that the dealer had broken while removing the car lockbox. Other than that I've stretched the oil changes out to 5k miles. Routine maintenance has been a breeze.
I love the features of power seats, mirrors, windows, and a backup sensor alarm. The DVD system is a must and works wonderfully with the car surround sound system. The BEST feature is wireless headsets so I don't have to listen to kids movies on our long trips. The 2nd row seats are easily folded out of the way for even adults to get to the back. They all recline well for long tiring trips. The storage in the back bucket and throughout the vehicle is excellent.
I have noticed some small annoyances relating to the DVD player; the remote controls the unit to the rear and above the driver's seat. However you have to point it at the player from the rear of the vehicle. Unless you have another adult in the back with the kids, it's awkward to do by yourself. the very back seat needs another LATCH system. There are 3 total, 1 in the right rear bench, and 1 in each of the folding chairs. If you have 3 car seats it's impossible to fold the middle seats forward to allow access to the rear seats while the carseats are attached. Minor oversight for those of us with 3 car seats and want to use 3 LATCH units. Would like to see rear vent controls further back. Also would love the window lockout feature to lockout all windows for other users (ie kids) but still be able to be used by driver. As it is once the lockout button is pushed...no one can open them.
