- Pros
- Very quite, terrific sound system. Better value than LS460 or MB S
- Cons
- Have not found any
Purchased As New
The postives on this car go on and on, great looks, lane departure, top grade leather, super sound system and the finest warranty of any automobile made. It's funny to me that the folks that don't own this car are very negative about it, BUT those that do own it, seem to love it. Strange!

Before I begin, I'm 6'5" tall, I come from an family who own upscale automobiles (Bentley, Rolls, Benz, BMW, etc.) When I arrival home to my parents house with my new Equus, I received the looks of disapproval, until they test drove it. My dad was blow away by the features, style, performance and comfort. He wouldn't think about trading the Bentley, but would drive the Equus to show off around town. After showing him how easy it was to schedule car service work with the ipad2 (that comes with the purchase of the Equus), the very next day he headed to the nearest dealership to invest in the purchase one of the flagship by Hyundai. After test driving my Equus for 4 hours, my uncle thinking of an excuse to get rid of his overpriced Benz and BMW to purchase one....read morehide

- Cons
- No seperate controls for passenger climate control

I have owned three 7series BMW's, two SL Mercedes and a Lexus, and this car rates right up there with any of these vehicles. Love the ride and handling. This is only the second car I have owned where people stop me and want to look at it.

- Cons
- Surreal Feel, Bland

In comparison to the Jaguar XJ series, this car is a winner. Reliable, great features, adequate power, soft suspension, smooth handling, extremely quiet interior, extented warranty. However, features aside, the car performs completely tastelessly on the road. It feels "digital", not analog. Steering is electric, acceleration a bit slow [lacks torque compared to Euro V8 engines] and whenever I look at it, I'm always lusting after Renaissance-insipired artwork such as the BMW.
Do purchase this vehicle if you are not into driving dynamics. Its is single handedly the greatest luxury value on the planet with none equal. But if you want a car built to stir your soul, go for the Jag or BMW. They are not reliable, I tell you, but the ownership experience is what its all about.
I have both Jag XJR and Equus. The Equus is there when the Jag is at the mechanic. The Jag is there when the Equus is in the garage....read morehide1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

It is funny how all the people who did not purchase this vehicle is saying all the negative stuff about it. While, all those who actually did purchase this car loves almost everything about this car. Yes, this is not MB or BMW, but for the price, I think it beats any German car out there.

I have LS460L and just curious about Hyundai all the gossip Hyundai is talking about. take out for a test drive on the highway. wow that thing is slow as a TL 3.7. Road noise is annoying and I could hear a truck near by. Love the in home service and all the amendment of a luxury but who want to paid $65000 for a Hyundai. Hyundai have to change Luxury name plate or else still a Hyundai. For $65K+ u could buy a base LS/A8/740i...read morehide

Purchased the Ultimate. As other reviewers, I have owned Mercedes, BMW, and my last car was an Infiniti. I was prepared to by another Mercedes or Infinti. My husband owned Sonata that we enjoyed as well. The most attractive things about the Equus are the following:
- Warranty
- Unique style/clean attractive lines
- cruise control
- smooth, quiet ride for a big car
I love not seeing myself and the attention it draws. Every other car in Los Angeles is a Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Jag and now Bentley. I feel safe and secure in this auto. It is a true pleasure to own....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.
