- At 429 horsepower it's so much fun to drive
- The handling. Not up to M or S series standards
Purchased As New
With the R-Spec moniker one would anticipate race like handling. While the R is a huge improvement over the 4.6 it still is not an incredibly sporty ride when compared to the Germans. It is, however, vastly better than most of it's Japanese counter parts. So that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 on the performance.
Besides that, the car is amazing. Huge. Roomy. Super comfortable. I'm 6'3" and can sit in the back seat with the drivers seat all the way back and room to spare.
The stereo is an audiophile's dream come true with the 7.1 channel discreet logic Lexicon Stereo at 528 watts and 17 speakers. To give you an idea, these same guys do the stereo for the Rolls Royce Phantom. It might be the best part of the car.
429 horsepower. When you step on the gas it REALLY goes. They've stepped it up with 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. It'll get around anything on the highway in a blink of an eye and you'll never need worry about that truck blocking your way for miles again.
For what you get (Full Size, 429 horsepower, Kick#$%$ stereo, heated and cooled seats, Nav, backup Cameras, radar guided cruise control, etc. etc.) you'd have to pay half as much again to twice as much for a comparable car. Is it an Audi S or BMW M class? Definitely not. BUT it IS half the price.
The commercial said it best. You get get the size of 7 series, the performance of 5 series for the the price of a 3.
