mine had the following in the first 3-6 months: distorted windshield that had to be replaced after many arguments with dealer, fuel tank had to be replaced because it wouldn't let me put gas in (after replacement, dealer parked it in red zone and my car got rear-ended by an F-150), brought in twice for grease marks on inside of passenger window, bluetooth works when it feels like it and everyone I call says they can't really hear me. This is my 2nd Genesis, previously I had a 2010 4.6L, that was also a great car. Hyundai is making some quality autos (I also have a 2012 Santa Fe 3.8L, a 2012 Tuscon and a 2012 Elantra touring). Anyone who dismisses a Genesis as junk, is a troll. They are 1st rate luxury sedans and I would encourage anyone looking to buy a full sized car to consider Hyundai. Dollar for dollar its the best value car we have owned.

Seats are too firm and become uncomfortable in a long road trip.

Our other car is a Lexus LS 430. We owned MB E-320, BMW 735 and 535. Our Genesis handles as well or better than all those except possibly for the BMW 535.
We enjoy driving it and very quickly got used to all its technology and layout of controls.
ONLY issues are:
1. Its White and tail pipes are too close to white rear bumper and make it "sooty" so it must be cleaned weekly!
2. A front Sensor for speed control and lane departure also gets clouded after rain and shows in dash fault alarm, so it too must be washed and kept super clean to function right....read morehide

I traded in an 09 BMW as the warranty was up and based on all the times I was in for repairs, I was not going to keep the Bimmer past the warranty expiration. Test drove the Genesis and bought it the same day. V6 + Premium package. Big discount too. This car is smooth, quiet at speed and is very quick from 0-80 (or more). The 8-speed trans makes a huge difference in this car. My highway MPG is always around 30 and city around 20. Lots of room inside. Lexicon stereo rocks. Nice blend of sporty and sedate. Rear wheel drive in the snow is Horrible. The car can not move in any depth of snow.

I have had the car for 3-1/2 years. I have 2 complaints - 1. The car does not handle the snow - it can't move. All the weight is is in the front and the rear wheel drive is pushing - the car fishtails or the rear wheels just spin and you don't move.
2. Their warrentee is a false advertisement. They claim 5 years or 60,000 miles. They forget to tell you that the electrical system is only 3 years & 36,000 miles. When you discover this due to having a problem - the answer was "it is listed somewhere in the 300 page owners manuel - rather than the dealership informing you or posting it in their advertisement....read morehide

The V6 is so powerful. I had my Hyundai doing 130 mph and it still could have went even faster. What a car! quality,value made well made. love the blue tooth hook up to my I pad , love the mp 3 plug in in the center consoled. I remember when the first Hyundai came to America it was a joke and all was lol. Look at them now making a car I would put it beside any car at the same price and give you 20,000 to boot to compair....read morehide
