I bought this car last June 2012 and have loved it. I bought it for my hour long commute and wanted to save some gas and this little sporty car was perfect. I get better than the new "adjusted" MPG claims on my mostly highway commute.

Also the power isn't the best, but it is what I expect from a economy car like this. I didn't buy it for power, I bought it to save money on gas while still having a cool car. I put on a short ram intake and that definitely improved the pickup, after a new exhaust and lighter wheels it will be perfect for me.

I would suggest test driving it first, it might be the best car you test drive or the worst, depending on what you are looking for. But there are so many options for this price you don't get with the other cars. I tried the honda civic, honda fit, etc. This one was my clear winner....read morehide

I bought the Veloster a month after the first model came out. My wife and I were interested in an elantra because of it's fuel efficiency...but seeing the Veloster on the lot changed our minds. Too bad after making the decision to buy we then proceeded to wait 6 MONTHS before our car was ready to pick up!! YUP 6MONTHS!! We were told initially that it would be 60 days, and after several inquiries as to when and where our vehicle was, we were told by the director of Hyundai Canada to basically go screw ourselves...and that if we didn't want our car anymore that someone else would by ours (when it finally did come in) so deal with the wait or get lost! Our salesman who was the ONLY person who gave a damn felt bad enough for us that he bought us a gift card as compensation, all the while the Company spat in our face. We inquired into the turbo model since after 4 months of waiting there was word out that the turbo was being introduced. If we had of waited 2 more months to decide what to buy we would have had a turbo in our driveway based on the price and all the standard features that make this car a god looking purchase. Do NOT be FOOLED!! Even loyal customers(we were upgrading from our Tiburon) are WORTHLESS to this Company...and this car is nothing but a Pony in disguise....read morehide

I purchased the automatic Veloster in 2012. To be honest, I was not really pleased with it. It rode and handled well, looked great, but lacked the pickup needed in today's traffic challenges. I recently traded it in for the turbo (2013)...and I have to say, I feel like I have been transformed. The pickup is great (bear in mind it is still a 4 cylinder...but more than adequate for safe travel). It has a camera in the rear for assistance with parking, handles like a dream, leather interior, great lights, GPS, excellent sound system, very well appointed. Has every electronic toy that I could imagine. Do yourself a favor...for $25,000.00 there is nothing that I have found that will even come close to this car...check it out. Only problem...they are very scarce...but the wait is well worth it. This car is a winner...read morehide

This is my 3rd Hyundai. I've owned two Santa Fe models. I've never had any of them in the shop for anything but routine maintenance. They are well made, richly appointed for the price point, and just plain fun to drive.

I am very happy with the new veloster. It gets great gas mileage, and I turn alot of heads. I have only had it a couple months and have had atleast a half dozen people stop to talk with me about this sporty little new compact car. Unfortunately, if you get one, don't buy the Hyundai remote start option. This is 2012 and remote start systems have been around for a long time. Hyundai has however not come up with the ability to have one key faub to operate the vehicle and remote start the car. I have to carry two bulky key faubs to access the vehicle. This is one bad design. On top of me having to pay over $700 more for this option when I could have just gone and purchased an after market remote start that would have done the same thing. Hyundai really needs to fix this if they are to compete with the competition. The car is a real head turner until you try to punch the pedal. But thats what you sacrifice when you need and want gas mileage. Its a great small yet roomy vehicle for one or two people....read morehide
