2007 Hyundai Veracruz
There are 9 user reviews for the Limited AWD trim shown below
- Very quiet, very smooth shifting, looks great and lots of bang for the buck
- Drivers seating for a tall driver, I'm 6'5", is barely passable.
My wife and I looked at several crossover SUVs, but after seeing and driving the Veracruz for the first mile we knew we had found a winner! We both liked the way it looked inside and out and we were really impressed with the quality of materials. Within the first hundred yards of the test drive we both remarked on how quiet and smooth the ride is.
In out first 500 miles of ownership we have had zero problems or rattles to report or repair. We appreciate the many features of the Veracruz everyday we drive to work.
One very pleasant surprise for us was how much our auto insurance rates dropped. All those safety features start paying off even before an accident! We also love the long warranty since we tend to hold on to our primary vehicle for a long time.
As a life long "car nut" I can't get over being this happy about owning a Hyundai! My nieghbor works for a major automotive materials supplier company and he told me they can not meet Hyundai's quality standards, but they sell to GM and Ford all day long. They sure have come a long way in the last few years....read morehide

- Power, Smooth Transmission/Handling/Radio
- Needs an I-Pod Plug-In and the back hatch window should open outwards.
I test drove all the vehicles in its class, and decided the Hyundai was the best overall pick. The interior is fabulous, the drive train is silk and the handling is excellent. The dealer extended my Powertrain Warranty to 20 Years/200,000 Miles, so there was really no other choice. Even the normal warranty is unbeatable! If you are in the market for a cross-over vehicle, nothing matches the Hyundai's value and performance! This vehicle should solidify Hyundai's reputation in the automobile world!!!!...read morehide

- EVERYTHING!!! love this car!
- needs more advertisments~not enough people know about this car.
I test drove this car, and what an experience it was! Never knew Hyundai could get THIS good. The XM radio is fantastic. Plus if you read motorweek for the Veracruz, the Veracruz beats the Lexus RX!

- Luxury, comfort, style, drive, cost, options, smart key and awd.
- no nav, but its better to get a garmin
I love this car. I otherwise never liked to drive, but I can't stop myself from hopping in the driver seat and joy riding. Lexus beware, this vehicle is luxury at its best with an awesome price tag. I purchased the top of the line package w/everything and couldn't be happier. I test drove the lexus and the Cadillac SRX, but this vehicle stole the show and made the decision for me....read morehide

- Excellent build quality, awsome warranty, interior very refined and versitile
- no GPS or back up camera
I looked at and test drove over a dozen SUV's. I just moved from Korea and few people know that this vehicle has been out in Korea for over a year. The Korean's test the hack out of this vehicle and fix all the problems before it come out in the US market. That is why they have a JP initial quality much higher than Lexus or even Toyota. This vehicle is the most expenisve produced in Korea, I bought the ultimate package and it comes with deep brown leather and all the options: keyless entry, keyless start, heated seats with memory buttons, electric tail gate open and closure, 9 in rear DVD, surround sound infinity audio, drink coolers, 110 AC for video games, 7 row passenger seating, sun roof, XM radio with CD changer, rear seat heat/cool controls and the list goes on. The interior is very refined with wood accents, door trims that light up at night, and the exterior is set up handsomely with a hint of european design: signal lights on the side mirrors, 18" alloy wheels, easy adjust & functional roof rack, rear spoiler and chrome window trim and badging. I love the ride, it is smooth and quiet with enough power to pass other SUV's when you need it. I stated it doesn't have a back up camera but it does come with rear sensors that beep and I don't mind that they don't offer the Navigation: I prefer to use the window mounted Nav because it is at the right height (unlike the dash mounted units)/plus a whole lot cheaper....read morehide

- Styling, Value, Quite Ride, Power Rear door, blue int lighting
- Lack of available accessories, no NAV, roof rack cross bars, door moulding
After 5 months of research, 20 test rides of SUV's, it came down to Santa Fe and Veracruz. I wanted the Santa Fe ( sportier), my wife wanted the Veracruz ( bigger, more luxury). We bought it on mothers day, so the wife got the Veracruz. I love the car also. It is so refined and has so much car for under $34,000 ( Limited AWD, Natural Khaki, Beige Int). The only thing I did not like about the styling is the front end, so I purchased a front End Mask, and it looks much sportier now. The mask is the only accessory available currently.
Get the power gate if you frequent warehouse stores, it comes in handy. My wife also loves the back up sensors, and the XM Radio.
The Interior blue lighting is so cool, and the Infinity stereo is great.
Even my kids ( 20 and 16) love it, and the neighbors have been over quite a bit fawning over it.
Forgot all the other SUV's on the market, and go buy a Santa Fe or a Veracruz!...read morehide

- Look, Comfort, Interior, Audio, Quietness and MORE..
- None so far
I was considering to buy Acura MDX, but after test drive I changed my mind. Not only Saving big $$ but also better ride.....
The Veracruz with leather is very nice, and comfy with nice lumbar support. The ride is so much quiter and smoother, I love that the space is even a bit larger than the MDX. The ride is quiter with very little wind noise....read morehide

- Interior materials soft in all the right places, smooth refined powertrain and an unbeatable value
- No GPS, No back up camera, rear slope needlessly eliminates 3rd seat headroom - too bad
The Veracruz is a wolf in sheeps clothing and easily the best crossover overall on the market today. Outstanding interior materials make driving comfort equal to our Lexus in refinement and quietness. The lack of hard plastics in comparison to the Pilot, Outlook, Acadia, CX-9 and Highlander are refreshing and put this class to shame. Audi would be proud of this interior.
The Acadia, Outlook and Pilot have better third row headroom (comfortable for 6 footers) due to the squared off back end. CX 9 is poor in both second and third seat room for the size. Veracruz second seat room is excellent while third row is only compromised by angle of the back end which reduces headroom (6 footers for short distances only).
Veracruz is visually non-offensive but does come off conservatively classy versus conservatively boring.
Biggest flaw is the tech omitted - no back up camera in this class is a big omission (Acadia and Outlook suffer the same issue). No Navi/GPS for a vehicle that will be used for travelling is also a big omission in this class. Both can be purchased as after market accessories but why?...read morehide

- Luxury style and performance butter leather seats cost loads less than the others
- No Gps needs more rear passenger head room
If you want a Mercedes,BMW,Porshe,Audi,Volkswagen,Acura truck for thousands less buy this truck.
You will only notice the difference in having lots more money to spend on other things.
