- very smooth ride, quiet, best value
- no audio aux input
Never owned an SUV before. As many others I was biased to the limited set of mid-class brands like Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda. RAV-4 and CR-V were in my price range but they were totally disappointing - noisy and stiff. I decide to throw more money in and looked for pricier stuff - Pilot was better however I expected more from 35K+ car, still noisy and bumpy. The one I really liked was RX-350 but it was way above my acceptable price range.
Luckily my co-worker just bought a Veracruz and recommended it. What a car! Really same driving experience as with Lexus - but all for 28.5K plus better gas mileage. Superb acceleration, smooth ride, and unbelievably quiet. I also bought extended 10 year / 100K mi bumper to bumper warranty for 1.8K. That includes road service too.
I think Hyundai today is what Toyota or Honda used to be 20 years ago - makes best cars but still cheap because of how people perceive it....read morehide

- Great vehicle for the price! Great warranty!
- Wish the acceleration was better as I enter a highway.
I absolutely love my Veracruz. After alot of research there is no doubt that I selected the right vehicle for my family of four. It allows me the seating for seven without feeling as though I'm in a huge suburban. At the time of purchase I had both my husband and the salesman sit together in that 3rd seat! Both fit comfortably. The mileage is respectable and the ride is smooth. I'm even more impressed with Hyundai's approach to backing up their vehicle. The warranty can't be beat. I would do business with my local Hyundai dealer again!...read morehide

- Excellent interiors, silky smooth ride, value for money
What a car! Tried all other cars in its class but Veracruz was too good. In comparison to all the new cars - Acadia, Highlander and Enclave, this seemed more value for money with all the luxury features. Pilot was no comparison to it.
Has comfortable interiors and excellent looks. Mileage is much better than pilot.
My love for this car keep growing everyday....read morehide

- Comfortable and large enough for 7 passengers
- not much room in third row for adults, but we're not going to sit back there anyway.
The Veracruz drives soooo smoothly. My husband and I love it. It wasn't hard for us to switch from our compact car to this car either, (not like suddenly driving a bus.) We love it!!

- Quit Comfortable Ride.
- No GPS
This is my 3rd Hyundai in a row. I traded in my Sante Fe for the Veracruz and am extremely happy with the upgrade.
The Veracruz rivals the luxury SUV market big boys, but cost thousands less.
A few cons, No GPS option. Also, if you would like to get a remote start, as an aftermarket option only, you need to sacrifice a key. You need to supply the key because of the chip inside of the key, otherwise the car will not start. The Veracruz does not come with a Valet Key, so in order to have the remote start and a spare set of keys, you will need to purchase a set of keys, approx $130, and have the dealership code them for your car....read morehide

- Nice pickup, unleaded regular gas, quality construction, Chromatic rear and side mirrors
- I wish they offered the entertainment package with cloth interior
I traded in an 02 MDX for this car. I selected the SE because Im not after sliding down the seats of my MDX I preferred to go cloth once more. The Veracruz with leather is VERY nice though! The seats are very comfy with nice lumbar support. The ride is so much quiter and smoother than my old car, I love that the space is even a bit larger than the MDX. When I took it on the highway I only slightly felt the first change of gears and up to 65 there was no other sign of gear change.. smooth!! The ride is quiter with very little wind noise. It will be a joy to NOT HAVE TO use premium fuel (MDX) and now have the choice to use regular (Veracruz) with the same gas mileage estimates. This car rivals luxury cars in quality construction and it looks very elegant. I could fill a page with all the things I like and the only thing I dont is that there is no entertainment package without the Leather package. We will certainly adjust ;). If you buy this car you wont be disappointed.
*MJ Sullivan was wonderful to work with and the corporation has you covered so well for warranty and other protections that are not "extras" you have to pay for. Kudos!!...read morehide
