Really liked the styling of the JX35. Infiniti wins on good looks for any of the SUVs. While looks are not everything, the performace adds to the sell!! The extra saftey features is what made the difference between the JX35 and its sister Nissan Pathfinder. Blindspot detectors and laser controlled cruise control was important to us in looking at them both.
We don't like the Entertainment equipment only have displays in the back of two headrest. The third row seat is left out of the viewing for movies. It causes an argument between the kids on who gets to watch movies in the best seat. We didn't even want the DVD system, but it was a requirement for the other packages that had the driver assistance options....DVD package should be last on the list of requirements....read morehide2 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Good fuel economy and space.
- Cons
- CVT transmission it seems to get more sluggish , also it has a rough ride

You can feel everything the tires touch through the steering wheel and the shocks are to stiff . I have had several SUV s and this one is rougher than the 2010 f 250 truck we have . It performed fine but has gradually gotten worse.

I purchased a new JX35 for my wife after an extensive search for the right vehicle. I found the JX to be the “goldilocks SUV.” It is big enough to carry seven and yet small enough to fit in my garage. The gas mileage is decent at 22 mpg. It’s the things that the JX is not that make it so special. It’s not the fastest SUV which is great for kids, realistically are you really going to try corning at 70mph with small kids? The comfort is by far superior than any SUV in this class. You cannot argue with the price, coming in at $55,000 loaded makes this SUV the most desirable of the luxury mid size SUV’s. I love how Infiniti came to the conclusion that almost no one is going to take their luxury SUV off-roading. I have heard the transmission was a concern for some but when your gliding down the road you would never notice. The drive is smooth and effortless. The 360 degree camera view is Awesome, parking in the garage, or parallel parking are a snap. The “snow setting” worked great during packed snow and ice conditions. Living in Colorado the AWD is a must and I was a little worried but the JX accepted the challenge and preformed above expectation. For what almost 100% of Americans use a luxury SUV for on a daily basis I believe Infiniti has created the new standard....read morehide

- Pros
- we returned it
- Cons
- it worked for 1 hour and 20 minutes, terrible service
Purchased As New
Owned this car for 1hour and 20 minutes. The tranmission started slipping and leaked fluid all over our driveway. Called the dealership and was told to call for roadside assistance. They would not even make the call for us since they said they no longer owned the car. So much for the superior customer service they tout before you purchase! The car needed a new transmission due to a clamp being missed at the factory and all the dealership offered to do was replace the transmission. Offered no compensation for the poor customer service or the fact that our "new" car already had a replaced transmission. We walked away from the deal. Would never even consider an Infinity product again. The most horrible new car experience ever!...read morehide

- Pros
- love the interior! plenty of room all around! comfortable ride.
- Cons
- need a little more power
Purchased As New
We bought this car late Aug & my wife absolutely loves it. Handles like a car & rides real smooth. The only downside is the power is a little lacking, but then again the JX is marketed towards women, so I guess the power is more then adequate.
We settle for the premium package which in my own opinion is well worth it....read morehide2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

I rarely write reviews but this is such a big ticket item and I found others comments really helpful so wanted to share our experience.
We recently moved back to LA from NYC and needed a second car. With two kids under two, we wanted a crossover SUV but didn't want to sacrifice style and design. We had 4 cars on the shopping list:
1) Audi Q7
2) Lexus RX
3) Toyota Highlander (wanted to see what the price difference was versus features...it's NOT worth the small amount of savings as the difference in features/quality is vast)
4) Infiniti JX
After a ton of online research, we went with the JX and could not be happier. This car has incredibly nice interior, great tech features that are all in sync with our iPhone, stylish looks, and good room and spacing. We went with the Entertainment package and my 2 year old watches DVDs on his wireless headphones in the back while we listen to music off the iPhone in the front on long car rides to take vacation. Not possible without this car. If you have a family and looking for a car that can handle the needs of in and out with nice features to make life easier (not removing the car seat to get passengers like a brother in law in the back as an example) along with a desire to maintain style and comfort inside and out...look no further as this is your car.
PS Bought it at Infiniti of South Bay in Cali...GREAT experience and ask for Oscar....read morehide3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.
