2006 Infiniti M
There are 14 user reviews for the 35 AWD trim shown below
- Power,Performance,Features, decent fuel economy for class (19 city 23 hwy)
- Pronounced engine sound but I could almost put this in the pro catagory, it adds to the sporty feel
Purchased As Used
This car is almost as fun to drive as my motorcycles. Very sporty with luxury appointments and room for the family. Back seats are spacious and comfortable and the climate control system is second to none. I purchased this vehicle used and received great value for my $$ but don't know if I would feel the same had I paid new price. Road noise is little more pronounced than I would like and the steering wheel controls are a bit awkward at first. Overall a great family car that can still give you that tingly feeling when the go pedal is pressed hard....read morehide

- Great ride and sound, tons of bells and whistles
- GPS (part of $4200 option pkg) is worthless in rural area where I live.
Despite the many pluses of this vehicle, the non-functional GPS, combined with Infiniti's callous and ineffectual Customer Service department are such that I will never again purchase an Infiniti, or Nissan for that matter. I've called me dealer, Infiniti's 800#, and written the CEO of Nissan. No one follows up, despite promises to do so. The GPS database does not recognize all areas. My home is 45 years old, and when I get within a mile or so the GPS chirps out - proceed with incomplete map data. In other words for most addresses where I live the unit can not get me there. I'm reminded of this every day as I drive in my neighborhood. Infinit has offered me a software upgrade, for $180, which may or may not help. Meanwhile I paid $4200 for the GPS option and it has yet to function as one would expect a GPS to operate. Infiniti expects me to pay even more for an upgrade. This was my second, and LAST Infiniti I'll ever own. I'm going back to BMW! Awful customer service experience....read morehide

- Beautiful Cabin appointments. Comfortable ride. Great engine.
- Requires Premium Fuel...(but it's worth it!)
When looking for a car I checked out the Acura, Audi, Lexus, BMW & MB. Each had +'s and -'s from exterior design to interior appointments. They all had one thing in common...They all lacked the WOW factor. While all are very good cars, I felt like just another cookie-cutter owner. Enter the M35X. This car blew me away with it's exterior design, big 18"wheels, 280hp under the hood, CVT Trans., intelligent key feature, intelligent cruise control, lane departure alert and fabulous Infiniti paint. I picked the Black exterior w/ Bourbon interior. Absolutely Gorgeous! Entering the cabin, the soft comfortable seating (A/C and heated) is better than any of it's competitors. The Rosewood trim is tops in class in terms of fit and finish. Equipped with Journey and Technology Packages it keeps you entertained everytime you drive the car. 16 Bose Speakers, DVD system, Navigation all contribute to the ultimate driving experience. This car is the real deal. Dollar for Dollar it outshines the competition.
Only downside is the 3.5L, 280hp requires Premium fuel. I average about 19 mpg city/hwy....read morehide

- Handling, customizable features, useful gadgets
Since I own the car for 1 month, I find myself looking for reasons to drive my 2007 M35x because the drive itself is so enjoyable. The handling is superb, the engine is responsive, the brake and turning circle are the best in its class. I really feel connected when I drive with the engine roar and yet it is quiet when cruising on highways.
The features of the car are so customizable that I can really call it MINE: change the screen color, turn ICC, LDW and VDC on/off; lift the steering wheel and/or move the seat backward when I open the door... etc (you got the picture, I am like boy in a candy shop).
The M is not a common car (unlike BMW), I get excited just to see another M on the road. The gas mileage is below average, but I don't drive enough to make a difference. The 2007 side passenger seat has the same controls as the driver and it is very comfortable. Mine has reclining back seats and DVD player, very cool toys for the kids too.
One month and counting, it ranked #1 for customer satisfaction in Consumer Reports and I can really see why. Those who do their research and can see pass brand names (and pay less too) will love this car.
Wish list: 6-gear auto, touch-screen navigation, fold-down back seats, air suspension and vertically open doors (not really)...read morehide

- Looks,GPS,interior design and friendliness
Just picked up my M35x after shopping all competitors models (BMW5 series, Lexus G and Audi 6) and what a treat. I am just sorry I don't have more hours in the day to drive it! While it certainly doesn't have the snob appeal of a BMW or a Mercedes once you get it on the road you will get more heads turning then if you where driving the old stalewarts.
Took it up in the mountains to see how it handled the curves and couldn't believe they way it holds the road.
Got the M with the premium package so I could have all the toys for touring. (DVD, recling seats in the back, heated and cooled seats all around, sunshade etc.).
Bottom line, Cosumer Reports was right making it the Best Buy!...read morehide

- Handles like a sport car, but with luxury gadgets to play with.
- Suspension is hard, and my 35x at 75mph burns 30% more gas than the highway rating at normal speeds
A good buy for the price, as long as there is no gasoline shortage. My wife loves it--especially the GPS feature which plays a little tune when it nears our house.

- Looks great, drives great, get alot of attention
- keyless ignition can be a pain in the rump sometimes if not used to it..
I just got this baby 1 month ago, I am having fun driving it. Very quick car. Very userfriendly navigation and and gadgets.Shopping around I was looking at the BMW 5 series and Mercedez E class models. I definetly got more for my buck with M class. Just something different on the road. I recomend it alot....read morehide

- Well appointed interior with very good navigation system, performance, handling, interior styling
- No ski sack for trunk pass through, exterior styling is somewhat bland
This is a great car. I previously owned a BMW 528 and a 540 and fully expected to get the new BMW 530 AWD. It couldn't compete with the M35X on price, performance, or interior style and features. I think the BMW has better exterior styling but that is about the only thing it has over the M35X. The navigation system is much better than most and the rear view camera is the best available. I can't imagine I will grow tired of this car very fast....read morehide

- Very stylish & Excellent pick-up with superb handling
- Guzzels gas,rumbling noise when accelerating,no touch-screen on GPS
Purchasing this car was a truly valuable move. Its class and comfort are remarkable. Its fast pickup and strong engine combine for a rewarding driving experience.

- Handles like on rails, great power, lusty growl, soft leather, excellent value against competition.
- Exterior a bit generic with Nissan but beautiful none the less.
Traded a Mercedes C320 4matic with no regrets. The technology is a kick, the power is wonderful, the comfort and ride are amazing. The value is there, $15K less than comparable MB E500 4matic. It resembles the Nissan stable but is beautiful by itself.
