- Pros
- Style, power, handling and space are super!
- Cons
- Wish dashboard looks richer.
This car has character, prestige, and composure. It feels powerful, solid, stable, goodlooking, and stylish. Its behavior on the road is examplary. I bought it three months ago, and the satisfaction is still great. So far, so good!

- Pros
- Interior/exterior surrounds you in luxury.
- Cons
- Vibrations when braking/noisy overhead console (DVD casing).
I read several complaints about the vibrations when braking. Infiniti has a resolution for this. Not sure if they are planning to do a full recall, but if you take it to your dealer they will repair it. The explanation I received was about defective nuts that were used with the brake drum installation (don't quote me). I guess what's most important is that after the repair, I no longer have the vibration issue and the cost to repair was free due to the warranty. As far as the DVD console that rattles, there hasn't been anything done. I would guess Infiniti will have these issues rectified with the '05 models. I still love mine. I have the black exterior with dark gray and maple interior. She's sweet when clean! Oh, and Infiniti's customer service is like no other!!!...read morehide

- Pros
- Great looking vehicle with lots of power
- Cons
- interior squeeks and rattles like crazy, brake problems
I have been a long time Nissan(2 trucks) and Infiniti (I30) owner and really had high expectations for the QX56. I bought one as soon as they hit the lot and was thrilled for about 2 months.
Then the front brakes had to be replaced. Severe pulsing when braking, at only 2000 miles. The dealer explained that the brake rotors were glazed and that upgraded parts should solve the problem. OK fine.
A month later I had to take it back due to extreme vibrations in the overhead console/DVD. The thing shakes like crazy. Dealer says a new improved console bracket should fix it. OK fine.
A month later the brake pulsing began again. Dealer replaced the rear brakes this time, same story. Now I'm getting pissed.
A month later a fluttering noise upon acceleration began to develop somewhere in the front of the car, and the right front ddo panel is beginning to rattle. Technicians are still trying to figure what is causing the fluttering noise.
The interior noise (squeeks and rattles) is unacceptable for a $50K vehicle. The car is beautiful to look at, and has plenty of power, but some major kinks have to be worked out.
Although the dealers have always treated me right, I feel shafted big time with this vehicle, and cannot recommend it.
FWIW-1 Infinti tech told me that the excessive noise is due to insufficient roof support that causes flex....read morehide2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Looks nice- A ton of room inside.
- Cons
- Shakes and the entire frontend of my car has been replaced and I have only owned it since July 2004
This SUV shakes all the time! A number of things have gone wrong w/ our SUV. I sincerely miss my Suburban! I wish Infiniti would let their consumers know when A vehicle has parts recalled on the front end as this one has. You can truly live w/ out this one.

There have been reviews indicating the QX56 having cowl shake, and low-par interior material. Personally, I don't care about the luxury. I am worried about the cowl shake, although it will probably only bother you if you take it off road. In city/freeway/cross country drives, it should be more than ok. About the steering shaking when you brake. That salesman is an idiot. The wheels needed to be balanced. Otherwise, no new cars should have that problem. You should have asked for another QX56 to test drive....read morehide

I just love the handling and the passenger and cargo capacity. There are a great number of features, and the QX56 truly coddles you.
This car really feels much better on the road than either escalade or naviagator1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

I've owned several LS400's, an LS430, and a 2003 Q45. Infiniti is truly doing a great job.
This SUV beats the competition hands down in my opinion.
Great handling, power, cruise control, navigation, sound, rear view monitor, interior in general and fit and finish.
A fabulous car....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

this is by far the best luxury suv on the market! i test drove a escalade, a navigator, and a lexus lx470, the infiniti came out easily the winner. It overpower all the suv's with a 5.6 315 horsepower, the escalade has 345 but the escalade is to clunky and the is a way smoother drive. If you have the bucks this is by far the best suv on the market This car rocks!...read morehide
