- None yet (except gas of course)

I just got this truck March 8/09 and I love this truck. I can't wait to get off work just so I can get home to steal it from my wife. It rides nice and quick. If you are going to cry about the gas....buy a HYBRID TOYOTA PRIAS or whatever it is, Dont cry if you want a huge truck for the family. It drives like a car, handles like a dream.
Love it Love it Love it...read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Great Looking, comfortable, nice luxury items and fits all the kids
- Cons
- In the shop way too often, transmission problems, brakes, heated seats, windows, etc
I drove every SUV out there and decided on the QX56 as it had a lot of options others didn't, drove great and was priced well. Now I'm wishing I'd gotten another GMC like my previous SUV. In a year this car has had way too many trips to the shop, including an issue with the transmission shifting hard and clunking into reverse that they can't seem to fix. In addition, both of the back passanger windows needed a new motor, the rear heated seats were completely missing the wiring from the factory, and of course the brake issue all have had. I'm waiting to see what brakes next. I only took my GMC in 1-2 times in the 5 years I owned it for warranty issues! Not very pleased with Infiniti quality, especially for the +$50K it cost. In addition, my car had a defective tire that the dealership(Frontier Infinit) identified on a repair order but then verbally told me was actually OK. The tire vibration continued and upon it's next trip in for warranty work they admitted that the tire had been going bad the entire time. They let me drive my 3 kids around in this car for 2-3K miles with a bad tire!!! If the transmission can't be fixed I'll be taking Infiniti to arbitration, hiring a lawyer and force them to buy it back....read morehide

- Pros
- Very nice ride. Lots of power. Great road car. Loaded with amenities. Really like the styling.
- Cons
- A little thristy on the fuel in town, but about average with this size vehicle on the road.
I bought a 2005 QX, even after reading all the reviews about the bad braking system and this was a concern to me because I live 400 miles from the closest Infiniti dealer. I have approximately 8K miles on the vehicle and no problems at all so far. Needs more room behind third seat for storage and AC controls could be improved. Traded Lexus GX 470 for the QX. I give the QX a much higher rating than the GX. I am still keeping my fingers crossed, but right now it is the best vehicle I have owned in a long time. Sound system is outstanding....read morehide

- Pros
- Spacious w/ lots of leg room for teens/adults.
- Cons
- Continual problems w/ brakes, airbag harness and key fob settings.
We have an '04 which we love for it's drive, rear camera view and spaciousness; however, the continual trips to the service department begin to wear on a person. We purchased the Infiniti over the Nissan Armada for the luxury side of both the vehicle and exceptional customer service the dealer is known for. We are pleased with many aspects of the vehicle, but we're beginning to think the continual trips for service, no matter how nice they are in that department, overshadow it....read morehide

- Anything inside the truck
Like everyone else, I'm on my third set of brakes. The roof has been repaired twice, and tonight the automatic lift gate broke off. My Infiniti dealer is 1.4 hours away, but they do come to pick the truck up. I'm getting this next problem fixed, then sell the truck. I gave up an Escalade. I think I'm headed toward Lexus or back to Cadillac. Infiniti has no business making big SUVs. As for the interior noise, it's like driving in a rattle...so much plastic, shakes, etc. Frankly, this $50K SUV sux....read morehide

So everyone else is whining about the brakes. Stillen has an upgrade package-if you can afford this vehicle, you can afford the upgrade. Once that was done-this is the best Truck I have ever owned!!!

- Pros
- well mannered, plush, responsive, everything a luxury suv should be
- Cons
- brakes issues, dvd rattle
I've owned my 2004 QX56 for 11 months now. I had the same brake problems as everyone else. When Infiniti finally figured out what the problem was, I have not had another brake issue. The original model shipped with too thin rotors. Infiniti realized this and replaced mine with the appropriate sized rotors. I've not had a problem since.
In response to consumers, I received a letter yesterday stating that due to the brake problems, Infiniti will warranty the brakes for an extended period of time (quite nice). In addition, they will pay for all my regularly scheduled maintenance for the next 3-4 years (I can't remember which). Another bonus. And if I've already paid for some regularly scheduled maintenance, they will reimburse me for my expense. Regularly scheduled maintenance includes, oil change, tire rotation, micro filter (which are expensive in my BMW), and others I can't remember.
I've owned many vehicles, some in this class and have encountered problems with each and every one of them. This is the first time I've been "reimbursed" for my problems. I applaud Infiniti for their efforts....read morehide4 out of 4 people found this review helpful.
