I'm in the car business and get to drive a little everything. I purchase a 2011 QX56 due to I love the way it looked! Looks is the only thing this vehice got. The heated seats only get to 67 degrees after being on for 15 minutes, the heated steering wheel is a joke is goes off and on when it should just stay on, the engine makes a ticking noise (that is not normal), the switch for the mirrors is in a horrible location, and the last thing I'll put is the DVD player you can not start the DVD from the front. You can control it after it is playing but you can not hit play from the front. So if you have a little one that can't do it by their self your in trouble. I read the reviews before buying mine but all the reviews I read were WRONG!!! Most expensive piece of junk on the road. Even though I bought mine used it only had 19k miles. Now I know why the previous owner got rid of it!!!!!...read morehide

Say what you will about the looks. It grows on you after a while, and it's still more attractive than that disgusting Lincoln. This thing is big, but it drives like a midsize, and where my expedition gave me 14 mpg average, my QX gives me 16, and it's great on the highway. The engine is powerful and sounds awesome. The interior is beautiful and fits 5 adults comforably in the front, and unless they're obese or oversized, the third row is deceptively roomy. All the maintenance so far has been cheap considering it's a $65k car and I couldn't be happier....read morehide

- Cons
- Gas tank capacity and mileage

I have owned a Suburban as well as the S class and E class. I have been driving MB for the last 15 years and tested the 450 before I purchased the QX56. This car puts MB to shame. Superior auto.

We've had this car for 2 months now and it is our dream car. A head turner that is powerful and responsive. Deceptive in its speed a ticket can be had if you don't pay attention. Effortless acceleration, nimble and solidly built. If only the mpg was a little better.

I've driven many large SUV's and the QX56 sets the gold standard! Comfortable ride. Plenty of leg room. Many standard features that are extra for all other manufacturers. Now I won't mind those long road trips!

As a previous 2007 QX 56 owner, the 2011 QX handles and rides better. The new hydraulic suspension assist system really works. the surround camera system provides extra safety. The blind side warning system, intelligent cruise control, lane avoidance and lane departure are more added safety features. Sound system (13 speakers) coupled with DVD screens on both rear headrests is outstanding. The interior is see to believe!...read morehide

I traded a cadillac escalade on Infiniti QX56 The QX is superior in every way, power is awesome, gas mileage is about 15 around town but over 22 on trip. I purchased in late September and have 7,000 miles already. Can't stand to drive my wife's Lexus LS460 now.

I love this SUV. It is quite large and fits all of my kids and their friends but is luxurious at the same time.

I owned at 2005 QX 2WD a 2010 QX 4WD and all I can say is the 2011 2WD is a vast improvment on both. Smooth quite luxury.

- Cons
- The gas mileage is a J-O-K-E!!!

Traded my 2009 escallade and I am in love!! Priced lower than my escallade, but it oozes quality and has 99% of the same bells and whistles. The electronics (camera, rear entertainment, power seats, nav, etc) FAR outperform anything I've ever driven.
One big bummer: the gas tank is smaller than my escallade ($45ish to fill, vs $60is from escallade) yet I'm getting similar mpg. It's annoying but not as annoying at the cheap finish and unreliability of the escallade....read morehide9 out of 14 people found this review helpful.
