Simply I LOVE THIS GOOD MADE CAR

by Bassam from Doha, Qatar (5/18/08)
Pros:Sport car in SUV dress (the definition of crossover), very solid, extremely stable, head turning,...
Cons:You have to get use to the suspension setting (sport setting).

I was looking for sport car but in the same time not giving up my loyalty to SUV, then I brought FX35 2005 model, it is solid car, excellent quality, low maintenance at long run, it fulfill all my requirements. Therefore I changed my old 2005 model with the newer 2008 FX35.

I tried many time to drive the car to the maximum to loss control of the car but the car is very stable and refused to loss control, I can say that it is probable the most stable Crossover car ever build, and can compete with repudiated sport car in stability.

It is the CAR.

driver seat rubs against door column.

by salami from Dallas (5/09/08)
Pros:very confortable seating
Cons:driver seat rubs against left column.. very anoying.

Took the car several time to the dealer to fix the seat rubbing against the left column, but could not be fixed. Called Infiniti about the issue, but they cannot fix it since it is not a safety issue.

Infinity does not stand behind their porduct

by Antoine from Oakland CA (5/06/08)
Pros:Style, Driving, GPS,
Cons:Badly finished, noises everywhere, dealer does not stand behind product, nor does company.

I bought this car in jan 2005. In the first week, I heard a number of noises coming from the mid console, the windiws, and the door (driver side).
For more thyan 2 years did I bring my car to the dealer to solve the noise problems. They never solved it.
I finally wrote to Infinity. They did send en engineer, but with no results either. I asked for another car. They refused. I contacted BBB, and they found nothing (by a lawyer from the BBB, by the way).
I strongly suggest you think twice about buying this product. Infinity may think they are a high class shop, but they are not.

Solid AWD, all-weather performer

by Cygnus X-1 from Pleasanton, CA. (5/06/08)
Pros:Sports car like handling in both dry AND wet conditions, good on-snow traction, great road-trip car.
Cons:Funny blind spot that takes getting used to, 18" wheel/tire combo a tad spongy, loud sunroof

Bought a 07' FX35 AWD to replace two previously owned Jeep Grand Cherokee's (1997 & 2002 V6's, 4WD) immediately noticed much better on-road handling, cornering stability & overall ride quality. The first rainstorm that season made it clear that this was a far superior car in wet weather conditions with better brakes & ABS control & felt much more sure-footed. Have taken it to Tahoe in as much as 5"+ fresh snow, wouldn't recommend much more than that, especially with the so-so stock OEM Bridgestone REO92's (horrible tire IMHO) Bought Yokohama Geolanders in slightly larger size & dramatically improved ride & handling characteristics. (Infiniti, are you listening?) There are some funky blind spots that you must get used to or be prepared to make friends with your local auto repair shops & the trunk space is nothing to write home about but as long as it's just four adults & minor baggage, everything manages to fit.

Overall after looking at BMW X5's, Acura MDX's, the new Jeeps & a really REALLY nice Audi Allroad V8 ($60K+ nice) bought the FX35. The FX45 was simply a beast & I would have loved it but the 12-16 mpg. & the fact that my drivers license would be in immediate jeopardy settled that argument. (the new 2009

4 year of liking this car

by Glenn from Colorado (4/08/08)
Pros:Style, handling, nice interior
Cons:bad oem tires, fuel economy average, brakes squeel

Had the car 4 years. If you want a sporty/lux SUV, this is the best unless you want to spend 10k+ more cash. Great handling, adequate power (FX35), has been reliable, good in snow once you abandon the horrible Bridgestone's the car comes with. I have gotten 17mpg in mostly city driving, was hoping for a bit more with the K&N filter. Though the brakes work well, the squeal a lot making the car seem cheap...Nissan really needs to address this problem in their vehicles.

This SUV drives like a sports car.

by Bob Hajek from Tupelo, MS (3/17/08)
Pros:Drives and handles like a sports car. Great looks. Std. backup camera and XM radio. Very reliable.
Cons:Narrow rear door bottoms make back seat entry difficult. Uses Premium gas.

This is the most fun to drive vehicle I have ever owned. After 5 months I love it more each day. Test drove all of the luxury crossovers and found the FX35 to be far away the best value and the best looking. The dealer is also great and treats us like royalty.
The body style is 5 years old and people still come up to me in parking lots to tell me how great it looks. Also, it is much more exclusive than the Lexus RX350 which you see at every stop light. There are only 6 FX's in my town and every one is a different color. There is a lot more room to haul things than it appears. We took a 2 week vacation with 3 people and had room to spare.
You have to make very few compromises when you own this SUV. As long as you don't need to seat over 5 people or tow a large boat or trailer, give the FX a look.

A LITTLE BETTER THAN O.K.

by RODNEY from BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (2/21/08)
Pros:HEAD TURNER,EXCELLENT HANDLING, NICE BELLS AND WHISTLES
Cons:BAD FUEL ECONOMY, SEAT RUBS AGAINST DOOR COLUMN WHEN ALL THE WAY BACK

THIS CARIS A REAL HEAD TURNER. I HAVE THE DARK BLUE WITH BIEGE GUTS. IT HAS ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES BUT IS NOT GAS FRIENDLY. I HAVE TO USE PLUS TO KEEP THE CAR FROM VIBRATING AT STOP LIGHTS. I HANDLES WELL IN ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL MY LEASE IS UP TO LEASE THE M35X.

FX GOOD

by LEE from boston (2/06/08)
Pros:Love the look of the fx.
Cons:The ride is a bit rough. Fuel economy, but this is expected of a SUV

I love the style of the vehicle. The ride is a bit rough at times. There is some road noise. Some times if the seat belt isnt place in the right position it will rattle against the plastic. So for its at 30k miles and the car has preformed well. I live in boston so all wheel drive is essential. The traction control is sometimes annoying when there is heavy snow. even if they are turned off its still partially on. but it will get you home. for the price of 40k at the dealership it should have standard NAV, but it doesn't. Buy a used one you will at least 7k and ive seen them with very low mileage. under 15k.

Its worth the dough..

by Dee79 from Sacramento, CA (1/22/08)
Pros:Pretty much everything except for the cons
Cons:Tight fuel economy, a bit rough ride for passengers

Where should I start, I was in the market for a suv and Was looking at Lexus, Infiniti, BMW and Audi. Had rough experience dealing with BMW dealers "They act as if they are doing you a favor by taking your money" plus performance is not even close to FX...
Lexus was ruled out the moment I drove BMW and Infiniti..Audi was not my type...
FX 35, has got everything that others don't have, Yes if you get technical it dosen't tow as much as the others but that's not at all a criteria for me(I got a truck for that)....Its time for a big vehicle but don't wanna feel like a soccer mom..FX wins hands down..I like the exhileration FX gives me even hauling people..

Beautiful but could be better....

by Claudia from Mount Laurel, NJ (1/07/08)
Pros:Sharp appearance, tight handling, very comfortable.
Cons:Awful fuel economy, controls for windows, radio control could be positioned better, not much storage

Overall the FX35 is great. Only complaints is that the Bluetooth makes me sound like I'm in a tin can to others, window controls are in a bad spot, radio controls to change tracks is in a bad position and should also be on the steering wheel. Fuel economy is not good. I can practically see the needle moving as I drive. It does drive like a sports car and I love its fierce appearance. It doesn't have as much storage as the Nissan Murano. Pedals and steering wheel not entirely ergonomic even with the steering wheel projected all the way out.
