The 6MT is fantastic!!

by Douglas from Jacksonville, AR (8/22/08)
Pros:Excellent acceleration - sexy sound from the stock pipes. User interface/brakes/steering
Cons:useless tray in center of back seat -

If you wanted room in the back seat, cup holders, and room for your luggage- buy something else and stop complaining! You bought a sportscar that hugs the road and attacks the pavement and carves the corners. Always craving more.

Great car! Great buy!

by matt from palm beach gardens, FL (8/06/08)
Pros:Beautiful, fast, comfortable, lots of features
Cons:Smaller than normal trunk but it is a sports car

I just leased this car 2 weeks ago and I can't stop driving it. I haven't found a flaw with it yet. I got the premium and sports packages with automatic transmission and I love it, you get so many added features with those two upgrades they are well worth it. I test drove one without the sport package and it is well worth the extra money to upgrade, you get better seats and amazing 19" wheels with low profile tires that make the car look so slick, you don't need to spend money getting custom tires because they already look so good. My wife has a BMW 328 6MT and this car destroys it. The car is fast, sounds great everytime you hit the gas and drives amazing. I love this car and would recommend it to anyone.

INFINITI "MUST" work on a few issues.

by Alam B. from Framingham, MA 01701 (7/12/08)
Pros:Fantastic looks; good performer: great reliability: great value.
Cons:Could use a little more room, too tight, the BMW3 coupe is "A LOT ROOMIER": must loose weight.

I've got an 07' G35 coupe and I really enjoy it. A few drawbacks are:
_Too many plastic parts in the interior; too many rattles and squeaks:
_It is a good size for a coupe; yet trunk is WAY TOO SMALL, and the interior could use more room as well:
_Clutch engagement is... NOT so good; can NEVER get a smooth take off or shifting:
Even though I really like it and was considering trading for a G37 when lease is up, I've read that interior & trunk space got even SMALLER, and it is "WAY TOO HEAVY".
A shame, considering the BMW3 series coupe, in which it competes with directly, is considerably LIGHTER; A LOT ROOMIER TRUNK & INTERIOR; interior plastics is kept @ a minimum, and wherever there is plastic, it is of great quality. Rattles and squeaks??? There is NEVER ANY... AMAZING. I've owned BMWs before, and my 3 other brothers own BMWs, reason why I'm able to compare.

Best Car and Value in its Class.

by Nick from Texas (7/06/08)
Pros:Sexy curb appeal, inside amenaties, great price, performance.
Cons:Back seat head room, fuel economy, limited interior with 6MT Sport.

Recently purchased my G37 6MT and couldn't be more pleased. I was in the market for just a sports car but after I did my research found that I can get all the luxury Infiniti has to offer while having a beast of a car performance-wise. After test driving both the Automatic and 6MT I had to go with the manual. While it stinks having to pay more for the manual transmission, for me it was worth it to have the extra control I didn't seem to get with the paddle shifters on the Journey model. (Even though it's still pretty cool)

As for my complaints, the back seat is cramped but I knew what was getting into before buying, and it is still worlds better than my '04 Mustang in the back seat. Two woman fit in the back fine. Men are more of a challenge. Fuel Economy could be better but since my commute is mostly freeway I am getting the higher end of the MPG (25.5 overall) and I knew this well before buying.

Overall this car is just a blast to drive. If you are like me and like performance first get the Sport 6MT. If you just want a sporty looking car with great features and performance/control is not as big an issue go with the Journey. The premium package is a must for all models. If you travel in your car a lot and need help finding places, go with the Nav, if not, save yourself the $2000 for this upgrade.

The car is lovely

by Charlie Brownz from MIAMI, FL USA (7/01/08)
Pros:Great power, Handles like nothing else. Very predictable during drifts.
Cons:Zero head room for rear passengers.

This car is amazing in every way. It out powers the rest with very little money. The cars handles like a dream and drifts like a king. I'm a very aggressive driver and I still get 16.4 city and 26 hwy. The only people that complain about the car are the people sitting in the back but I hardly have any of those people in my car. The car looks really great on the outside, I always get women breaking neck to check out who is in the whip. With 6 months of pure pleasure with the car I would not trade it for anything else. Other than maybe a ferrari or something lol. Buy the car best banng for the buck and enjoy whiping it sideways.

Journey coupe with sport package

by David M. from Houston, Tx. (6/25/08)
Pros:Acceleration, overall performance
Cons:Sport seats not too comfortable - seat bolsters too narrow

I've had this car for 3 weeks now. I have the Automatic with the sport package, navigation package. I thought I would not like the automatic, but after driving both I've found that with the close ratio 5 speed, it makes city driving fun. It has 3 shift modes, from normal to aggressive auto and full manual shift with either the shifter or paddle shifters. In short, this car is a blast to drive. I drive roughly 70% frwy and 30% city and I am getting a consistent 20mpg, and believe me, this is not conservative driving. I feel I could get about another 1mpg if I really tried, but frankly I don't want to. The only gripe I have is with the sport seats. The seat bolsters tend to cut into my thighs even when adjusted all the way out. (I'm 5'11, 190# for context). Also, the BOSE stereo is a tad overrated, but it sounds much better with digital media rather than radio, which is just average. The navigation system with real time traffic data really works well -- set your route, then you have the ability to check for traffic data within your selected route and plan an alternative if there is an accident. It takes into account traffic when determining drive times to your destination. Overall, I would but this car again, and again, and again.

Good car but get the 335i instead

by Matthew C from New Jersey (6/17/08)
Pros:Great Looks, Technology, Fun to Drive,
Cons:Horrible manual gear box

This car has great curb appeal. Everything about it looks great. Like many others it came down to the g37s and the 335i coupe. The only reason why i got this was because of the price. Now I wish I had just spent the extra $5000 dollars on the BMW. Before this I had an Z4 M roadster and the BMW was great so it was a mistake getting this car. The other day when i was shifting from 2nd to 3rd the shifter literally got stuck between 1st and 3rd gear and it made a horrible whineing noise. This has happened a few times. But set this aside the car is fun to drive and i do have many bad things to say about it but a recomend the BMW over this the extra $5000 dollars is 100% worth it

BLACK/ GRAPHITE G37 COUPE

by JIMMY C. from 818 CA (6/15/08)
Pros:SEXY COUPE, FAST, WORTH EVERY DOLLAR!
Cons:EVERYBODY SEEMS TO WANT TO RACE YOU :)

I HAD AN M35X FOR 2 YEARS UNTIL MY LEASE WAS UP. EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH THE INFINITI PRODUCT. THE VEHICLES, THE SERVICE, AND THE BRAND ARE OUTSTANDING. DECIDED TO GO WITH A G37 COUPE PREMIUM, SPORT AND HAVE BEING GETTING DOUBLE TAKES WHEN PASSING BY. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH A SPORTS CAR LIKE THIS.

SPECTACULAR

by kmm3333 from los angeles (6/12/08)
Pros:power, engine sound, looks, comfort, navigation, ipod connection, brakes, everything
Cons:minor MINOR complaint: the tray in the back row between the seats is useless and ugly.

EVERYTHING about this car is unbelievable. every detail has been thought through. except for one. the tray in the back row is ugly and useless, and its uncomfortable not to have a middle armrest. the tray should be replaced by an armrest. but hey, i dont sit in the back. thats my only complaint. everything about this car is spectacular. i have the journey with nav. the navigation, back up camera, bluetooth and everything on the main screen is amazing and simple. intelligent key system is brilliant and handy. i love starting the car with the push of a button, hearing the loud roar. yes, the engine sound is great. doesnt sound like a cheap loud car and yet not as average as those quiet toyotas. it sounds luxuriously powerful. and thats what the car is. a sporty, luxurious, powerful coupe. no other car compares.

p.s. prices for the sport package were outragious. i recommend the journey with navigation. nav package includes A LOT more than just navigation. way worth it. but the sports package is way overpriced and the exterior looks practically the same. also, the sport has a rougher ride do to sport suspension. if u like the wheels on the sport, you can get the performance wheel/tire package, which is 650, instead of spending almost 2000 on the sport package. that way, you have the smooth ride and the cool looks. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE CAR!!!!!
