2005 Jaguar XJ-Series
There are 4 user reviews for the XJ8L trim shown below
- nice styling, excellent interior, spacious even for taller driver, fuel economy, good road grip, goo
- break pedals are too low
This is a very nice car and good value for money. It is easier to use compared to BMW (i-drive) and not as expensive as the new S class from Mercedes. Comfort, appearance, styling and interior quality are all great. The only problem lies with the brake pedals which are too low and indeed could have been better....read morehide

- Class Act Vehicle, Plush Interior, Room to dance in the back seat.
- Depreciation is quick.
Holy Cow! I just drove this car home and I cannot believe it, turning heads all the way home. I decided to go check out Jaguar after feeling frustrated by BMW's lack of product and Benz's abundance or it. Test drove the X-Type, S-Type, then...THE XJ8L! First of all, I didn't plan to buy a car today but the offer on the lease was amazing. Money factor is nearly zero. I bought a new 2005 XJ8L Slate with Charcoal Interior. The sticker was $68000 and the lease is incredible, $599/month for 2 years with only $6250 down. Yes! $599/month. The car also comes with 19" chrome rims and touch screen navigation and seat warmers. $650/month including tax, unbelievable!!! I finally have made a statement against the two-party system (BMW and MBenz) and it feels good. This car comes with 4 year/50000mile maintenance package like BMW and MBenz. (Go get the 2005 because in 2006 the maintenance will only cover service at the 10000mile interval. The car is amazing, head turner everywhere you go. The car runs supurb. Handles great and engine is smooth and quiet. The lines are beautiful and the chrome puts it over the top. I wish I had gotten a Vanden Plas. The only downside I see is the accelerated depreciation, but buying this car in 2 years at 59% residual is too good to pass up. The interior is remarkable with alot of room for the passengers, alot. Do yourself a favor and go get one right now. You will be impressed....read morehide

- Excellent seats, classic and understated luxury, light weight makes it very quick with the standard
- Depreciation is wicked so look for great purchase price on left over 2004s and plan to keep it.
This car is nearly perfect - and I have driven - or owned - all of the competition; it's fast, comfortable, luxurious without being overdone, has simple controls, comfortable seats, and a stiff, quality suspension. My one minor problem was dealt with, by the dealer, quickly. Surpasses the competition - BMW (i-drive), Mercedes (quality problems), and Audi (price and service issues) in every way. This is my third Jag and I would not hesitate to do it again....read morehide

- SMOOTH, QUITE, POWERFUL
This car answers in every catagory. The styling set it apart from the crowded luxury car field. A lot of fun to drive.
