I've owned a 1998 convertible Jaguar XK8 for a little over 2 years and have loved every second of it! The car rides marvelously, handles amazingly well, and people ask me about it everywhere I go. Friends always want to ride with me when we go places; it's really a lot of fun! It has a bit of power under the hood, but don't expect to win any races in it... the car is extremely heavy. It comes with a back seat, but there really isn't any room back there. I can fit 1 adult male in the back if he is reclined across the entire back seat and even this, it's very uncomfortable. The car is the quietest soft-top convertible I've ever been in. The only con the convertible has is that you have to put a protective cover over the fabric every time you want to put the top down. This becomes a hassle if a sudden shower starts. This car, in my opinion, is the best car you can buy for this price range if you're looking for a sporty luxury car. I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the same category. If you're looking to buy one, keep in mind that it is an import, which means that it will always be very expensive to repair "anything" on it. Broken headlights run you $600 each. New windshield is $1,200. I recently replaced the timing chain and a few other little things in the engine and it ran me $3,800. Again, I highly recommend this car, but please keep the expensive repair costs in mind....read morehide
