2006 Jeep Commander User Reviews
Limited 4X4 shown
- $9,010 - $12,698
- Great interior and exterior
- 3rd row storage and 3rd row seating is too high.
I have just looked at the Jeep Commander and it is fantastic! The value is a little to much for a car like that. I do not like the 3rd row seating it is too high your knees are up high when you sit back there and storage but the 3rd row is more spacious than the Pilot. I have looked at the Pilot, Pacifica, and B9 Tribeca and I like the Commander best overall. It is like a mini Hummer....read morehide

- great looks, fantastic interior
- none so far
I find it to be a better ride than my H3. There is limited cargo room with the third seat but it turned alot of heads when we tailgated at the Steelers game.

- Styling, Interior and the handling
- No storage with 3rd row
I went in with low expectations after researching this car. They only added 2inches on top of the Grand Cherokee. But after driving i am sold. It handled excellent. The retro-look is what a jeep is all about. The interior is roomy and well planned out (stadium seating, dual a/c, sky light). Even though there is no visibility when backing they have a nice sensor that lets you know if there is an object behind, left or right. Price is fair....read morehide

- Good Interior Room, Terrific Dashboard/Seating in Front
- Feels like you're driving an Air Matress, Rear Visibility Non-Existent with 3rd Row Seats Up
I just test drove this thing today. I drove the 3.7 L V-6. The Base model with a pricetag of $32,000!!!! For an Extra thousand, they had a 2005 Durango Limited w/Hemi loaded available. The Vehicle has some neat little gadgets and ideas, vents, storage space, the seats folding down, etc. With the V-6 the end of the SUV is heavy, slow to get going, similar to the complaints with the new Hummer 3's. The ride is very soft and bumpy, a lot of sway left and right with the slight turn of the wheel or when turning corners. The Front cabin is wonderful I will say that much, but after that, second row and back, it's a disappointment, you dont really get as much space as you'd expect by lookin at it from the outside. To be honest folks, from what I had read about the vehicle and from how it looks, this was a heartbreaker. The only point of redemption is that I hear that the Limited model has much better suspension and steering, and obviously the Hemi to haul that big girl down the aisle....read morehide
