- Pros
- Design/ style, drives and handles very well, comfort
- Cons
- Fuel economy
Purchased As New
This is my fifth Jeep and I like it very much. The fuel economy is better than the other four Jeeps that I had in the past, but MOPAR needs to improve the fuel economy to 30 plus MPG on future vehicles on this Jeep model. ( :
Over all this is a Great American Vehicle, JEEP!!!!0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

I upgraded from a sedan to this SUV and I love it. It is everything that I was looking for and it wasn't that expensive- I got the basic design with power options. I have plenty of room for my family, as well as any other necessities, and with a baby, you have plenty of those. I am extremely satisfied with this SUV. For being the first year, it is a great deal and Jeep did a great job with the design and the overall concept of the vehicle....read morehide

- Pros
- better gas mileage than my last SUV
- Cons
- the navigation system is awful
Purchased As New
I traded in a more luxurious SUV for the Compass because Jeep was giving me the best trade in and incentives but now love it. It rides smoothly and maneuvers well. Having driven some large SUVs in the past 12 years I really enjoy feeling some ability to move around more on the road. It is definitely more fun to drive than my big clunkers were. I also find not many are on the road in my area so I dont see myself coming and going. Finally, it is also small enough so my kids wont be using it to haul around their belongings when they move, a job that was even too much for my Volvo....read morehide

- Pros
- Excellent Fuel Economy and Great New Looks
Purchased As New
I almost didn't buy my new 2011 Compass Lattitude based on what I read in on-line reviews. However, I do feel that many of these people who review American made cars just can't say anything good about them (unless they came in on a boat). What's up with that? This Compass is one of the best vehicles I have ever owned - and I've owned alot including Cadillacs. Jeep put this vehicle together in an orderly and pleasant fashion and its a blast to drive....read morehide

- Cons
- Lacks enough cargo space

I love this car. I used to drive a Jeep Liberty. I traded it in a year after I purchased it, because it was horrible on gas. The Compass is so much better! It's gorgeous! The exterior is very attractive and the interior is not bad either! Heated seats, light up cup holders! The ride is comfy and the mpg is great too! I live in NY and I drove all the way to Delaware on one tank of gas! I actually couldn't believe it! I fill up my tank with 40.00....It's a big difference from the Liberty! LOVE!...read morehide

- Pros
- Looks, Interior Space, Fuel Economy
- Cons
- Could be a little more done with interior trim and storage space to make it look nicer
Purchased As New
Had it for a month now and drove it 4K miles across the country covering 18 states and it was great. Gas mileage around 28 MPG with the thing fully loaded with luggage with the back seat down and this included through the mountains around Yellowstone. It is comfortable and yet not that expensive.

- Cons
- gas milage, leather steering wheel cover

I love my Jeep Compass, cant wait for it to snow so I can try my 4x4 out,and I HATE snow. I love everything about my Jeep but the leather steering wheel cover,to smooth should be textured for more of a grip.Best jeep hands down!

- Pros
- Much improved over the old Compass. The exterior styling is great. Jeep has done a good job.
- Cons
- The CVT transmission makes it sluggish and noisy off the start. The interior could be better.
Purchased As New
I originally bought a 2009 Patriot over a Compass because of it's low cost and was trail rated.
Finally, I wanted something classier but still at a decent cost. The 2011 Compass fit that bill.
Jeep has done a good job is improving this vehicle. The exterior redesign is great, making it look like a mini Grand Cherokee. Jeep made the suspension better over the old Compass and added some more insulation to tone down the engine noise. The front seats have a bit more padding making for a comfortable ride. The interior is the same as my old Patriot - a bit lackluster - except for the new leather covered steering wheel. Having the sun roof and satallite radio gave it great appeal. The CVT transmission is a blessing and a cursing, making the Jeep a little sluggish but helps with gas milage. Bottom line - I greatly enjoy the Compass, making it
a low cost option to owning a trail rated Jeep with some class and comfort....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Good looks and a good ride for it's size.
- Cons
- POOR gas mileage
Purchased As New
I owned a V6 full size 2005 Durango and got about 18.5 mpg consistently from day one. I then traded for a 2008 Charger with a V6 and got around 24 mpg consistently from day one. I now have a 2011 Jeep Compass with a 4 cylinder engine and cannot get any better than 20 to 20.5 mpg. This vehicle is much smaller and lighter than either the Durango or the charger. The window sticker says 23 to 28.The dealer says it will get better mileage after some more miles are put on it. Yeah Right!!! That wasn't a problem with the six other vehicles I bought from this dealer. This is my last purchase from them, I'll guarantee you that. If you are looking for a vehicle that gets good gas mileage then my suggestion is don't buy a Jeep Compass. That's all I can say....read morehide
