- Fuel economy not as good as specified by epa estimates
I have had my jeep in the shop now two times and it doesn't even have 5000 miles on it. The first time the check engine light came on and it was a false reading from the radio. The second time I was driving had the vehicle in cruise control and the entire jeep starting jittering and then the check engine light came on. I ended up leaving it in the shop for 5 days to get the entire shift system replaced. My opinion is it isn't jeep itself with so many problems its chrysler putting to many electronic devices in these new cars there is sensors for sensors. I am a chevy lover and they need to take advice from Chevrolet and build a reliable dependable vehicle that doesn't end up in the shop for 6 mnths out of the year....read morehide

- Great vehicle, terrific handling well appointed interior
- Iffy gas mileage
This is my sixth Jeep. I was actually shopping for an H3 and decided to see what was new with Jeep. I test drove both vehicles several times and ended up with another Jeep. The power is superior to any other SUV and the handling provides a great feel and sense of confidence to the driver. The mileage has been exactly what was advertised, though a few more miles per gallon would be nice. The field of vision takes a bit of getting used to, as with all SUV's. The blind spots are different than my previous Jeeps, so I had to retrain myself. This Jeep has a nice quiet ride and an excellent sound system. I would recommend the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited to anyone looking for a nice comfortable vehicle that can hang with the best on the trails. Nicely Done!...read morehide

- Looks great
- Ride is jerky, the fan on the heater goes out, chronic engine light on
We bought this jeep in April and the light comes on all the time, we told them the vehicle feels like the transmission is slipping, and they said it is normal and Chryler has had complaints and is working on the problem. They have replaced 2 sensors, worked on the fan, because the heater worked only on high on and off & replaced where the sunglass holder screwed up. I bet we haven't used it 20 times. I have cloth seats, and everything stains the seats, even rain drops. I will never ever buy another Jeep, it has ruined me. In a total we have taken it in 7 times. You really take a chance when you buy a Jeep....read morehide

- Redesigned body style. Looks good on the road. That all!
- Lots of transmission problems, cheap plastic interior, low quality, rattles, and shakes horribly.
Please take my word before buying a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x2 V6.
Since I have owned my Jeep, I have had nothing but problems. The check engine light has remained on, and the Jeep has been at the dealership the entire time.
First, I developed water in my transmission fluid that cause the vehicle to shake violently. I took it to the dealer, and they flushed it 3 times, but the vehicle still has the shakes.
Now the "shifter" went out at only 7,000 miles. The dealership told me that shifter are on back order. So what can I do? This Jeep has left me stranded. What is the point of buying a new vehicle if it is always broken down? It is still brand new.
The dealership is a 5 star dealer, but is this 5 out of 10 stars?
September 16th, the news reported that there is a recall on 2005 Jeep Cherokees because of water in the transmission. I called Chrysler and they pretended to know nothing about it.
I am still stuck without a vehicle, but I am still paying the notes.
Buy anything but a Chrysler product....read morehide

- Great SUV
I just simply like it. A SUV rides like a sedan, what else you could ask for from a SUV.

- Blind to them because of all my problems.
- I have had the rear suspension looked at 4 times. Lemon law proceedings are beginning.
I picked the car up. I pull out of the lot and the engine light turns on. They tell me they can my car in sometime next week.
Jeep tried to dupe me in regards to the lemon law.
