I bought the Laredo 4x4 with 26X package which includes leather, radio upgrade with uconnect and bluetooth, and lots of other cool stuff including heated seats and mirrors and remote start. The ride is great and the exterior design is beautiful. Before you buy anther SUV, definately take a test ride in this JGC. I moved into this from a Lexus RX 350 and glad I did!...read morehide

My 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has been at the dealership for 3 weeks after only driving it for less than 2 weeks. When I try to start the car after it has been idle for 3 or more hours the car will not start for several seconds....I hear a click, click.click..........each time it happens it takes longer for the engine to turn over. The dealership sent it home saying there was no problem, "the engineering dept. said there was no problem". The next morning the same problem, I called the service dept. from my cell phone and let them hear it for themselves. The mechanic acknowleged hearing the problem. Two days ago I received a survey request form from the manufacturer. After I checked the engine problem box the survey asked specifically if when I attempted to turn the car over was there a delay and a clicking noise, and if so for how many seconds. Obviously their is a problem that they dont want to acknowlege. My concern is whether it might be a design defect, as opposed to a manufacturing defect, if they attempt to replace the car with another 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee instead of refunding my money. Unfortunately I paid cash....read morehide

I was in the market for an SUV before the winter begins. I looked at Kia, Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, Mercedes, I got a good deal on the Benz and was about to pull the trigger on it until I saw a white suv on the highway, my wife and I said at the same time "what is that". I drove it down and saw that it was a "JEEP". Well, the rest is history, I went to the nearest Jeep dealer and they could not get me one right away, so I went on line and track all tri-state dealership inventory and found the one I wanted, Blackberrypearl with beage interior V6 and Panaromic sunroof with the nav package not to mention the all terrain four wheel drive. will not take it off road, but nice to know that it is capable if I want to. Excellent job Chrysler go get em....read morehide

- Awesome value
- Older V-8 and 5-speed transmission (but proven technology)

In the past couple of years I have evaluated every SUV and cross-over on the market. I tried to convince myself to get a cross-over but they pale in comparison to the new Grand Cherokee in terms of overall capability and value. The handling may be a little better in the cross-overs (no surprise), but for a lot of money you don't get a vehicle that does much more than have all-wheel drive. The nice ones cost about as much as the new Jeep and you have no real off-road capability. The Jeep is better for any severe weather condition.
I was leaning toward a Lexus GX or Range Rover Sport until the Jeep was announced in April 2009. I had to wait for all 3 new generation vehicles, and evaluated others which were summarily rejected. The new GX is a big disappointment. The RR Sport costs way too much to be at the absolute bottom of brand reliability.
15 years from now I hope to be as happy with my 2011 Grand Cherokee as I have been with my '93!...read morehide
