I recently bought a 2012 JGC Laredo 4x2 with 25,000 miles on the V6 engine. The day after I bought it the check engine light came, slight loss of power, rough idle, and the Eco light would no longer come on. I drove straight to the dealership and described my issue with the tech. He knew immediately that it was the head cylinder issue that's been going on with this particular engine. He ran a diagnostic just to verify and document, and that confirmed his suspicion. They immediately gave new a loaner. So far so good - but no updates as to when they will have the parts. NOW - my last car was a Lexus is250, which until the Jeep proves otherwise, was the best car I've owned. I had the EXACT same issue with the Lexus and it was repaired under warranty. After the repair the Lexus was back to normal and I had no further issues. I've been told i will, and im hoping, that I have the same luck with the JGC. However, is shocked at the options you get with the base JGC. The only things it's does not have that my Lexus did are leather and a sunroof. I've been very impressed with the Jeep overall. The ride is great for an SUV and so is the mpg. You will read horror stories on the internet because that's what it's for, but everyone I've spoken with absolutely loves their JGC. I just hope it is fixed quickly and I have no other issues because this dodge avenger they loaned me gives my wife ammo to make fun of me. I will be updating this review as I progress through the the repairs and time with the vehicle.
