I'm a newer owner with sub 1,000 miles. So far, I've been nothing but impressed with what is on my Laredo X 4x4. I had to add the step bars to help my 5 year old get in the rear. Power is much better than our 2001. Mileage is ok, but it is also an SUV. I am blown away by the technology with the remote key, bluetooth streaming audio, nav system integration, etc. Way better than my 2011 Audi A4 that I traded in for this. Needed something more versatile. Now I have a bike rack and the kids and I hit the trails on the weekends. Well worth the difference in drive. I also didn't realize it had a manual shift mode like the Audi "tiptronic." Our designer friend from Chrysler said there is a lot of Mecedes Benze technology in this vehicle and I believe it. So far, I'm very happy with it!...read morehide

- Pros
- Very comfortable and great fuel milage.
Purchased As New
I guess I got a one of a kind Jeep. I consistently get 27 to 34 miles per gallon. I admit, most is on the highway and I don't drive like a mad man, but there is absolutely nothing I can find wrong with this car. Handles extremely well especially during bad weather, very comfortable, and the milage is great. I would never go back to a smaller car when Jeep offers so much more for virtually the same operating costs....read morehide

- Pros
- Nice Ride
- Cons
- Bad fuel, rear hatch doesn't work
Purchased As New
Just bought this and already having problems with the rear hatch - had it to the dealership twice, still doesn't work right. They don't offer a rental car and this really sucks because it is a new car. Nice ride and nice headache right now.

I was looking at 3 vehicles to upgrade my 2005 Audi A4 2.0T and they were the 2012 Explorer, 2012 4Runner, and the 2012 Jeep Cherokee. After driving all three I came out surprise to find out the Explorer is too big for the it's engine and the 4Runner is pretty basic inside, it already looks dated, while the Cherokee was just a hit all the way around. If you get one spring for the 20" rims and navigation package its only 2k. I got the Laredo v6 which very powerful and great on gas. I also have every option except the Hemi and Panoramic sunroof, and I got it all for 33.5K. The Explorer was 39k and 4Runner was upwards of 40k with similar options and smaller engines. So far I love this truck no cons what so ever....read morehide

- Pros
- Nice Ride, good gas milage
- Cons
- Pentastar V-6 engine, is having problems, many needing cylinder head replacement
Purchased As New
Disappointed that at 20,000miles I need to have cylinder head replace, daughter also had this problem, dealer says there is a backlog because there (Jeep) is having to replace so many. Also very poor GPS, Garmin installed and it sucks, wouldn't waste money on it again.

- TRANSMISSION
Purchased As New
60 large should get you one of the best Jeeps ever. The choice of transmissions the engineers made had to have been because it was cheaper. I hope someone comes up with a fix but with all the electronics that's doubtful. Ruins the entire driving experience of this thing. Near no low end power, unless you jump on it, makes it hard to drive in town in traffic. Big, big motor and high power rating, who cares about mileage? A more modern six speed transmission would fix most of these issues.Other issues, electronics, keyless entry erratic, squealing brakes and did I mention the really crappy transmission? I feel so SCREWED....read morehide
