- Pros
- Better than expected HWY fuel economy, Quiet
- Cons
- A little overpriced in my opinion, Bluetooth/Computer are a little funky

We purchased a new Loredo X (Loredo with leather, Nav, sunroof, recliining back seats) in Feb. We have been very satisfied with it so far. It is my wife's vehicle, she has no problems getting in and out, seeing everything, parking, etc. The backup camera helps with this. The leather is high quality and supple, with firm padding in the seats. We recently did a 400 mile trip and were pleasantly surprised to average 24.5 mpg, higher than the EPA highway rating of 23 mpg. The bluetooth/system computer are not the best I have used (hard to beat the new VW system). I wish it came standard with a class II or III hitch so that I could haul a small trailer from the equipment rental yard or use a hitch-mount bike rack without paying for one to be installed, although it does appear that there is a wiring harness tucked behind the rear bumper for this purpose....read morehide

- Pros
- Looks great, lots of legroom, good road manners, super offroad
- Cons
- cargo on the small side for midsize suv

Wanted the limited, but wound up just getting the Laredo with all the extras because it had the color combo I wanted. Beautiful black on black. Handles very wellon road for an offroad oriented suv. Got the 20 inch wheels. Gives you a nice high seating position and looks great. Nav, 40 GB HD, rearview cmaera, heated seats, etc. Excellent rear seat room. Was about to buy a luxury brand and decided to take a Cherokee for a test drive. Didn't hesitate. Went with the 290 hp v6. Thought I would want the V8, but after driving both, found the V6 to be more than adequate and alot better on gas....read morehide

I am so disappointed in this car, you have no idea. I got the 5.7 v8 limited and I had problem with this car since the first day I had it. It has this horrible annoying, bothering noise. It is only 3 month old it has 4k miles on it and it has gone back and forward to the dealer 6 times and they can’t find what the noise is. They keep telling me that it is a faulty strut but they have change them 3 times already and the noise is till there.
Also I feel the steering wheel kind of loose. This car suspension is horrible, every time I drive this car I get stressed and in a bad mood. Also I find the transmission to be so holding I feel like I am dragging a big trailer on back. I had a 2008 jeep commander that had a 4.7 V8 and that car had such good handling, it was so loose on the gas peddle, It had a much better acceleration and torque, smooth ride, comfortable, everyone that got one it told me that the felt as if they were on a plane. Big mistake changing it, never had any problems with it just change it for fun thinking that it was a jeep and it will be as the same or better. 3 month in and I am thinking of changing it....read morehide1 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- great styling, amazing in bad weather and off-road
- Cons
- sits high without Quadra lift, nav system could use a little re-organization
Purchased As New
Great vehicle, first road trip averaged 25 mpg (over 600 miles to the tank), the limited model comes pre-wired for a hitch and its cheeper to have it installed at the dealer than to buy it already installed.

Best deal out there if you want an SUV and don't need anything real big (e.g. Tahoe, Escalade, etc.). 2013 Grand Cherokee Altitude--5.7 Hemi. I'm thrilled every time I drive it!
Very comfortable, outstanding handling for a truck, perfect amount of power, all controls are simple--intuitive and well placed. The Garmin NAV is an added bonus, as it is again simple--most built in NAV systems are ridiculously over-complicated. I was prepared to use a portable Garmin until I discovered this.
Jeep found a perfect middle between too stiff of a ride and too Cadillac like.
I tow a 5,000 lb boat from time-to-time and it tows better than the Ford F 250 I previously used to tow the same boat.
A killer deal at $40,000. I'm curious to test drive the diesel version in 2014... P.S. Get the auto gate option for $700--not a good place to skimp....read morehide4 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

traded in mercedes ml550 because warranty expired, big mistake, 1500 miles already in shop 3 times, bad master cylinder, noises in column, car surges and bucks at times, mpg with hemi is 15-16 highway, 13 local- total pig on gas, also hasnasty burning odor from i believe front axle, headlights point at the ground, i definately got a friday afternoon built car - otherwise car has a nice ride and features-sunroof,nav,stereo,heated/cooled seats etc- hopefully they can straighten out problems...read morehide

- Good, solid, safe
- Cons
- none that I can think of

Love it, always drove a jeep, drove the 2010, then drove this new 2013, and feel like I'm riding in a caddy. Little larger body style, which I love. Feel very safe in a higher vehicle. Road vechicle as well as off road, all in one.

- Pros
- Luxury SUV, Very Comfortable, Strong Engine
- Cons
- Fuel Consumption

Last year I purchased a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with leather seating and the trail rated package. I absolutely love this vehicle. It combines the luxury qualities of luxury SUV with the offroad capabilities of a Jeep. I love the selec-track knob, which allows you to adjust the 4X4 for the right conditions. I have the 5.7 L Hemi engine which provides plenty of power when accelerating, though it consumes a lot of gas. The leather interior is comfortable and high quality. I added Blackhorse side steps, mudflaps and grille inserts to make it look even better. Excellent vehicle Jeep!...read morehide
