- Capable 4X4
- ESP issue, cramped interior
Good buy, good looks, fun to drive. Like it. However, as with another reviewer, I too am having problems with the ESP. Vehicle chokes around turns and has a slight hesitation on acceleration. Dealer says Chrysler aware of problem and awaiting a fix.....since November 2006!

- Great Little SUV
Bought this Jeep for my wife, two days later it was in the shop for the ESP/BAS lights coming on and the cruise control not go off when stepping on the brake. Have had it a week and a half and it's been back to the shop 3 times for the same problem. Other than this it is a great little vehicle that my wife did enjoy....read morehide

- Great look to the renegade!
- A little slow off the line.
I really enjoy this jeep, it is very practical and has a nice rugged look to it(renegade) i reccomend this to anyone who is looking for a good jeep to drive and have fun with. The ESP (electronic stability control) function works great as well.

- Excellent SUV for the price!!!!
- Wish it had better gas mileage.
I recently bought my 2006 Jeep Liberty Renegade in March, I haven't had a chance to really drive it in the snow yet, but I love how it handles so far. Very quiet, stylish, and extremely comfortable! My previous car was a Chevy Cavalier which sat way too low to the ground and hurt my lower back getting in & out of the car. So I went car shopping, found the Liberty and LOVED IT! I wouldn't trade it in for any other type of vehicle. It suits every need of mine, just wish it got better gas mileage since I drive 30 miles each way to and from work. Love the Sirius Satellite Radio though!! That's a wonderful incentive! I highly recommend this SUV to anybody! It's great for a family of 4 or just a single adult!...read morehide

- GREAT TURNING RADIUS, USEFUL INTERIOR
- FUEL ECONOMY IS NOT THE BEST, BUT IT IS AN SUV V-6 4X4
I LOVE THIS LIBERTY, IT WAS A GREAT VALUE WITH THE REBATES THAT I GOT WHEN I BOUGHT IT. IT DOES HAVE A DEACENT RIDE, OR AT LEAST FOR A JEEP. I LOVE DRIVING IT AND SO DOES MY FIANCEE. BY THE WAY I TRADED IN A 2004 FORD ESCAPE LIMITED.

- Nice Paint Job
- Seats too high, pedals too close together, touchy stiring
I have only 1200 miles on my 2006 Renegade. I feel out of love with it after a couple weeks. I just found the vehicle very uncomfortable and I didn't enjoy driving it at all. I have been trying to sell the Renegade for 6 weeks. I have lowered the price 2 times so far. I'm down to $21,000.00 and so far not one interested party. Boy did I make a mistake. My suggestion is to rent the Jeep for a couple days before you make up you mind to buy....read morehide

- NAUSEATING feeling in my stomach from the ride on some smooth roads !!
Hello out there. I can't blame anyone but myself. When I road tested this JEEP before I bought it it felt like all 4 tires were oblong. I went straight to a tire store and put on different tires figuring that would fix it. IT DIDN'T !!!! Has anyone else had this feeling ??

- tight turning radius, stiff suspension, appearance, power, American made
- ground clearance, fuel economy
I love almost every aspect of this vehicle, it'd be great for taking the kids to soccer or picking up groceries. But it is not made for off-road! Chrysler advertises 9.5 inches of ground clearance but it acutally has less than 6.5 under the front differential, transmission, the axl side arms, and the rear differential is a lot less than 9.5 also. I don't know how they measure their 9.5 inches, or how they can give it a trail rated badge. If you need the clearance buy somehting else. If you want a great, dependable, American made on-road car that is functional, practicle, and reliable this may be the vehicle for you. It's easy to park, has good traction in deep sand or up steep inclines with loose rocks, and even my 6-foot-3 dad has enough headroom- but it's lucky to clear a parking block....read morehide
