I have had plenty of power and my milage averages betwenn 19 and 20 mpg at 7500 ft elevation. Great choice of vehicle and it held up amazingly well for the crash it had! Offered great protection- both airbags deployed and I only ended up with a bruised hand. Can't wait to get it back but would have bought another one if I'd had to! Aftermarket lumbar seat covers made a huge difference in the comfort level. No other complaints here!...read morehide

- WEAK horrible engine, leak problems, cheap interior(rattle noise), bad clock

brand new 33k car, the 3.8 engine is an absolute joke in the 07-11 years, 2012 3.6 is better i guess. my clock was slow the first day i got it brand new, always had a leka problem and didnt think much of untill it became and every time thing. took it to dealer for second time for the same problem, driver side leaks, they say they cant find a leak on the driver side instead they find a leak on the passenger side and say the ran a water test and nothing is to be found.... they expect me to live with the water leaks and my brand new car smelling like a swimming pool... and EVERY JK has this water leak and jeep still cant find a solution to their problem.... and they say oh its a door seal when its not... i think its a major problem and jeep will loose too much money to actually admit to it and try to fix it thats why they give you the run arounds....read morehide

- Pros
- Rugged timeless styling.
- Cons
- Plastic interior trim. Cheap build quality. Dealer apathy.
Purchased As New
Bought my dream car. Always wanted a Jeep Wrangler. Previous and current cars are BMW and Porsche. Usually buy 2 year old vehicles. Bought new this time because of low interest rates. I have had this car in the the shop more than 4 times. Dealer states that the 4WD shift knob is "made to be loose" and is like that on "every jeep". Dealer thinks I need to live with it. Mine rotates 1/4" in either direction. Funny thing is that my transmission shift knob doesnt turn at all. The plastic door handle trim (made to look like brushed aluminium) came apart. The roof was replaced as well as the rear seatbelt and plastic rear door hinge cover this is after dealer lost my paper work and didnt get a hold of me for months regarding parts. Needed to make another trip to dealership to retake photos of defects. I understand that Jeep is not Porsche but they are charging $40,000.00 for a new jeep and that is in line with a two year old BMW and Porsche. You get treated very differently (superiorly) at Porsche and BMW dealerships. And they do take cosmetic and workmanship warranty issues far more seriously than Jeep does in my experience....read morehide

- Pros
- Cool looks. Rugged, spacious and comfortable.
- Cons
- Needs more HP and better mileage.

Great fun family car. I enjoy the looks and the ride. The interior is very nice and comfortable. I like having the option to take the roof panels off. Have not yet removed the back end hard top because I have no place to store. I like hard top versus soft top option. Better on noise and does not leak in the rain. I wish it had better mileage and power. I think both are addressed with the 2012 model to which Motor Trend gave 5 stars! Bottom line, you buy a JEEP because they are just plain FUN, and you are willing to take the cons with the pros....read morehide

- Pros
- Looks and runs great
- Cons
- WAter gathers in the door panels after a heavy rain.

I've had my Rubicon 4 door since purchased new in 2009. Traded in a Land Rover Dicovery for it anf I like the Jeep better. The vehicle is tough and can climb a wall. I was hit from behind at high speed and the Jeep took the beating with limited damage and no injuries.

- Pros
- Gets me where I have to go no matter what.
- Cons
- Water Leak

Over all I love my 4 door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport. The new interior is great and I'm averaging 18 MPG. Lots of room for the kids and drives fine on city roads. Soft top is so easy to use even a monkey can figure it out. The only problem is that the soft top is practically useless in the rain. leaks in the front and back and now my new 2011 Jeep with 250 miles on it is now back at the dealership. This has been a major problem with unlimiteds and Jeep has had problems finding a permanent solution to the problem. I didnt pay 27K for a pool so I'll give them 4 tries to fix it. After that it is a lemon. Its not the Jeeps fault, its the idiots at the factory that put it together. Thats why I still love her....read morehide

Was this review helpful to you?
- Pros
- Very comfortable
- Cons
- NO POWER
Purchased As New
Loved my 2010 Wrangler Sport except for TERRIBLE performance. Sold it after 4 months. I will buy an older model, or wait for a powertrain change before considering another one. 4 speed auto was no help either. My suggestion---give it a diesel.
