| Pros: | Fuctional and Fun to Drive |
| Cons: | Gas Miliage |
I purchased a fully loaded 2008 4-door Rubicon. My family loves it. We take it from the beach to the mountains with no problems. My two kids (4yrs old) have so much fun when we are on trips that they do not need tvs/dvd players. I strongly recommend buying the myGig Multimedia system. You can store your favorite songs as well as your kids favorites and the sirius and Nav isn't bad either. Also buy the wheathertech mats. They have really helped keep it clean.
My wife and I also have a larger suv and we fight over who gets to drive the Jeep. If you want to have fun when you drive, buy the Jeep. If you want to be practical, buy a minivan.

| Pros: | looks hot |
| Cons: | all plastic |
Checked out the 08 and did not like all the plastic, GPS, Sirius, I-pop and all the other geek plugs, smaller engine, got a 01 TJ for half the cash and used some of the saving for lookers and 33" tires, 4.0L also has more torque. A Jeep is not a commute car at 5mph mileage is not a problem.

| Pros: | Rugged |
| Cons: | Too much thin plastic |
This is my 6th Wrangler since 1992 and I would have to say that a Wrangler is a Wrangler is a Wrangler. If you are considering this vehicle then doo yourself a favor and get the sirius and NAV. I know that you are saying that you don't need it and will never use it but I said that to. I went for a basic X and came away with a slighlt upgraded X with the 17 inch wheel package but not much more. After installing an aftermarket Sirius system (correctly) I wish I would have had the integraded system. Now I am considering a NAV system and am wishing I would have added it to the Jeep at the time of the order. One major pro was the fuel economy. No seriously for real. I took my Jeep to military training from Ohio to Virginia and was getting 25MPG on the highway. I normally get 21 in the city. My secret is conservative driving and the 6 speed manual transmission. Also, I use Mobile 1 full synthetic. I just purchased a K&N FIPK and will probably squeeze more Horse Power as well as a few more MPG's out of the Jeep. I know that I got an extra 5-8 MPG's out of my GMC 2500HD with one. If you are saying tha this guy spends too much on his Jeep then do the math on the fuel savings and you wil see that I actually come out ahead. One last thing...if you are up in the air as to basic equipment then think 2 door, full hard door, duel top, manual transmission with 17 inch tires and remember they give military incentives over sale prices and rebates.
